Blowing smoke like that on road is nothing but a hazard IMO. Probably part of the reason new trucks have DPFs.

Got behind a guy with a late 90s dodge with a stack that blew the smoke right onto my windshield the other week. Had stickers all over the window. I could tell he had a manual because everytime he shifted he lost 2mph, pretty pathetic but at least he thought he was cool.

No kidding....running around town smoking just because you can isn't helping matters at all. There's a place for that - it's called the track.

But that's a different pissing contest for a different thread, I guess.

The diesel needs 15 quarts of oil to do the same job the V10 does with 7, thus the V10 is more efficient and better at towing.

What noise? I can't even tell a V10 is running, even when I'm right next to it (just like my wife's Hyundai)!

That's a new arguement...less oil means more efficient. An interesting equation of inverse proportions...

I propose that since each bed/cab configuration has the same size fuel tank regardless of engine, then it's a draw!

Easy to do, search on google images for "6.0L engine failure". Usually involves lots of smoke and there's plenty of pictures.
