Hey everyone. Took a ride over to Galveston today. Took some pics and will upload a little later. Galveston took quite a hit, there's no doubt. Still, they fared a lot better than I expected. The news coverage makes it seem that nothing is standing in Galveston. That's not true at all. Lots of businesses are up and running and the island was packed with people out and about. Lots of work to do there before they are back to normal though.

So I go to drop my daughter off at the skating rink, and on the way back, I see two vehicles come WHEELING, and I mean FLYING out of a parking lot to cut off the traffic heading their way since the light turned green. One is a tricked out new Cherokee, the other is a Harley Davidson F150, blacked out. I smoked the Cherokee, but only kept up with the HD F150. What's in those things??? Damn he was quick!! I'm used to passing F150s like bad beer gas...
EDIT: Are those the super-charged ones?? If so, I don't feel so bad...

Oh, I know there are some DAMN fast ricers. If they weren't nobody would give to shats. I just thought it was funny how the soot went through to the other side... 
So the HDs *ARE* supercharged? What are they laying down? 400HP at the flywheel? If so, then I did okay keeping right with him. I passed him first, then got caught behind another car. Got around that car, then just stayed with him up to about 80-90mph where we both let off.

So I was out running errands today, tryin to get the new brakes broken in.......and I see this: An Arab woman, standing on a corner holding up an Obama campaign sign that says "OBAMA GIVES HOPE" Now I'm not a very political person......but that was a huge reality check for me. We know who they want to win 
I don't really have much to say about EITHER candidate....but that was quite a disturbing visual for me!

You think it's disturbing now, if he gets elected you ain't seen chit yet. Get everyone you know registered if it is not too late. You can bet your *** all the illegals are registered and they ain't even citizens. There may not be enough of us left to counter them anymore.
