That one was newer than 2003, so I'm assuming a li'l bit more HP, but even still, the fact that he didn't get away from me makes me feel just fine!! Roughly same HP, but I obviously have a bunch more torque, not to mention a couple thousand pounds on him...
EDIT: I did a little Googling, and found that the 2008 (which it looked like to me) has 100 more HP than the '03.
"Thanks to the folks at Saleen, who developed the supercharger for the 5.4-liter V8, the Harley and Foose Editions both belt out a full 450 hp and 500 lb.-ft. of torque. Now these are our kind of trucks."
Im thinking the newer ones are closer to the SVT Lightning on the HP something like 450 or more. I will have to look and make sure. But I think I am close on that.
Sad to say our vote doesn't count for much anyways. It's the electoral college who elects the president, not us! We are merely a small percentage of the vote that "elects" Okay......political rant over
We do control the electoral college to an extent. What has everything out of whack so badly is that the heavily welfare dependent states have so many electoral votes. Such as Michigan, Illinois, New York, California, Pennsylvania, with Ohio starting to lean in the wrong direction. It sucks. But that is why the libs want so many folks on the public gimme gimme list registered to vote. This is the end of my rant in the OT too.
There have been many attempts to improve on the electoral college system. Losers of elections for years have cried "I got more Popular vote". Well, the electoral college is one of the many wise checks and balances put in place by our founding fathers. Without an electoral college the large states would completely overrule all the smaller states. California could easily overpower all the mountain states( arizona, new mexico, colorado, wyoming, idaho, and montana) by itself if left to popular vote. The east has many powerhouses of population as well. The electoral college more or less divides the nation into " zones" that control the electoral votes. This allows the lower population areas to still have a say in the election. If it was all 1 big zone,,, the population powerhouses would rule. Really pencil out the electoral college, your vote counts, it determines which way your zone goes. The california vote could be 27 million to 1 and the arizona vote 2,100,000 to 2,099,999 - the popular vote decides the zone only - which assigns electorates. If left to the popular vote arizona's tally would not have mattered. Under electroal its a completely different result. Its how Iowa and the dakota's still have a say after Chicago votes. Always exercise your right to vote, if you don't, don't biotch at me when its over.
Okay.....here's a legitimate question, not a rant lol. Hypothetically.........if 100% of Americans voted for candidate A......but the electoral college voted for candidate B......who would win?

Okay.....here's a legitimate question, not a rant lol. Hypothetically.........if 100% of Americans voted for candidate A......but the electoral college voted for candidate B......who would win?
if 100% of americans voted for candidate A then the electorates would be supposed to vote for candidate A and it would be 538-0 in the electoral college, favoring candidate A. I don't recall if federal electorates are legally obligated to vote from their regional popular vote or not.
If 100% of california voted for candidate A, 51% of nevada, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Montana,Wyoming, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas voted for B, the the electoral college would be 55 to 68 Canididate B even though California has skewed the popular vote in favor of A. ( ca having 55, nev5, UT5, ID4,AZ10, MT3,WY3,CO9,NM5,ND 3, SD 3, NE5, KS6,OK7)
So I'm driving down to see the inlaws, got my wife in the front seat, baby girl in the middle in the back and were doing about 35 or so. A guy comes out of nowhere, cuts in front of us then proceeds to do a U turn. I slam on the brakes and stop and BAM!, The guy behind me wasnt looking and smacked us. I pulled up the road and got out to survey the damage. Baby, wife, me=all good. People that hit us=all good. Truck=Not a scratch anywhere. His front bumber= totaled, smashed, 2 big cut marks where my hitch decided to go through it. It was a Honda. I thought that it would hit harder but damn, these trucks will take a pounding. We really didnt feel it much. I figure my truck kept us safe and my baby girl is okay, barely even woke her from her nap. I'll be keeping this truck forever. This is the hitch I have, when it's folded under its just a big hunk of plate steel to slam into.
