No 302 CJ that I am aware of, but it was not limited to the 428. There was a 351 CJ in 71-73 Torino sports, and Grand Torino's, and prior to that the cobra jets were offered in 427, 428, and 429 powered machines. The 428 and 429's were also released with Super Cobra Jet versions.
Wow Scott, you're much more the Ford car expert than I am, but I was referring to the Mustang only. I was pretty familiar with that because I had a real close street racing pal that bought one. Did you check out the link I posted? The 351's you're referring to must have been the Cleveland engines, right? As far as I was concerned the Muscle Car era that I lived through pretty much died at the end of the 1970 model year. 1969 was really the last good year, but 70 was not real bad.

Chrome tubes will look better, but no boards at all will make it look taller. Definitely ditch that plastic crap. The tubes are much stronger despite having two fewer mounting points.
Actually.....after staring at your truck a bit more, I think it would look best without anything under there.
I was putting my daughter in the back today and didn't realize how much I need the step to launch the car seat to the middle of the back seat. I may need to wait till she can climb in herself.

Hmmm...lets see. Mustang had the 428 CJ and SCJ through '68. The Boss Mustangs in 69-70 (302 and 429 versions), and the 351CJ 71-73.
The Boss 429 Mustangs of 69 and 70 are the coolest cars ever built. To me anyway. The engine was a full boogie NASCAR motor slightly detuned and stuffed into the Mustang for no other reason than to get the engine qualified for NASCAR use. As you probably remember, back then a "stock" car had to be powered by a production based engine.
I'm sorry I am bringing this up, but yesterday someone posted some incorrect information about the muscle car era and it's been bugging me ever since. I don't know who posted it and am not going to go back and look. But there was never any such animal as a 302 CobraJet. It came with a 428 only. Now y'all keep in mind I am suffering from Oldetymers disease, so there is a chance I'm wrong, but in this case I don't think so.
I am guessing they had it confused with the BOSS 302 possibly?

In my DEFENSE.....I chose to whack the Mullet off years before I met my wife. So I guess it was more the a haircut that won her over It was actually COOL to have one at one time believe it or not.....now it's mostly the deeeeep woods Deliverance rednecks who have em lol You guys are animals.....3 more pages of OT since I went to work this morning, and I have 40 posts per page!
He'll be lucky if he is still able to walk after I'm done with him..
So, I just got my offer. $145k on a house listed at $159. Not super but not awful either...but they are expecting a counter offer, and its a VA loan so no closing costs on their end. I have some number crunching to do when I get home.
I'd be grateful to be in your shoes!
We had our house listed at $225K... no bites so dropped it to $198K. Got a bite, did the offer/counter offer BS for a while... NEED to sell so we agreed on $175K. Now thanks to the tenant and buyers all being retards, the deal is falling apart 4 days before closing because of petty little stuff. This means we likely won't be able to buy the house where we are headed because we are still stuck with the house from where we left 1.5 years ago. So I guess the 4 of us, plus 2 dogs 2 cats and a fish get to stake out in a 28 ft. camp trailer... yay!
Switching gears here, but apparently the mods deleted my post asking if anyone in the forum happens to be a lawyer... thanks for that mods If anyone does happen to be a lawyer please PM me as I could use some input.

There are nut plates behind the bolts....so it's a simple matter of unbolting the steps if you want to check your theory or just look at it. Takes maybe 15-20 minutes to remove/install them.

I get called a redneck/hick/farmboy AND I DON'T GIVE A SHAT! I drive a diesel, I like beer, I wear steel toe boots every day and I wear JD branded clothing. My cousin always bitches about those wanna be "RedNecks". I find it's fuuny that I live next to the BIGGEST Hick town in my area and everybody tries to dress like a "gangsta" , jock, emo, stoner, wiger, or with all these expensive name brand clothes. And me and a few others dress like rednecks, hicks, or farmboys and we don't give a **** and we work our asses off.
Non-alcoholic beer I assume . I can guess most of them, but wha't an emo and a wiger?

This is a step in the right direction. Just remember, your counter will likely receive another counter, and they'll be looking to meet in the middle of your counter offer and thier offer.
EMO kids are the ones that usually dress in all black. And by all black I mean everything is ALL BLACK! A wigger is a white guy that thinks he is black. I see a lot of kids now that think they are really cool with the hat that has a flat brim and have the base up so loud that the car should shake itself to bits. I usually point and laugh

I've already got 4 fresh cans of diesel in the garage, and I'm about to get an offer to go fulltime, so I'll be "forced to work 100% remotely" from a sick family members down in TX. No need to fight, I'll just wait 'til you leave and be there to comfort her...
Ahh, but the beauty of me being self employed is I won't have to leave. Of the two things I do, one can be done from anywhere in the country, and the other...well, I've got someone in Texas that I'm pretty sure could find me a position doing that down there.

Indeed. I told my realtor no mind games with this guy. He's a vet. I countered with what I thought was fair, expecting a counter-offer. that probably wont happen until next week. I'll keep you guys updated.
FYI Brent, I got the file you sent. I did take a look at it but have yet to do anything with it yet, just got nuts today with me getting ready to go out of town and the house offer and whatnot. I hope its okay that we get into that next week? You do nice work by the way...the pics of the house I mean.
