That sounds like a good weekend so far! Im researching some crap on fixing my lawn tractor, hows that for a fun weekend start!!
Tonight I get to go home, get the dog and her stuff together, drop her off at doggie day care, go home and pack and clean the house. Get up at 6 am, get ready, go to my sisters, have her drive me to the airport, fly to Iowa. Come back on Monday. Excited.

I just drove mine a half a mile to the nearest guy that fixes them damn things. He does it out of his garage. I won't fool with them. The engine yes, the rest of it I know nothing about and do not want to learn.

My neighbor Steve takes care of mine. He's a genius with most things mechanical. He evens fixes Jezebel when I screw her up.

Honestly, they are pretty easy to work on. I have a case 446 and they are pretty simple, and tons of guys have worked on them, modded them, and just did common problem fixes on them. They make it easy.
Got a damn stuck screw on a hydraulic valve spool that i cant get loose though, damn thing strips a little more each time i muscle on it.

So, I just got my offer. $145k on a house listed at $159. Not super but not awful either...but they are expecting a counter offer, and its a VA loan so no closing costs on their end. I have some number crunching to do when I get home.

I'd probably try a " can we meet in the middle?" and see where you go... if you decide you can take it at offer, anything additional you get is BTS trans money.
Im the same way. I sure dont look like a stereotypical redneck though, one of my nicknames in real life is preppy.
But I like beer, and whiskey, and fighting, and trucks, and shooting.
Damn, too bad your up there, we would get along just fine..

In no way do I try to control him though. It's his money, his projects, his dream. If he wants to go buy a motor for $300 and throw it in the garage, its fine with me, I just give him a hard time about it is all, usually laughing the entire time.
A man can never have just one project hes working on..
