My friend is a big chevy boy, and another friend is a big dodge boy. They might be pissed about the merger the chevy friend always makes fun of dodge and ford, and the dodge friend makes fun of the fords and chevys. I wonder if chevy will drop the Dura***** engines and go with cummins and dodge will drop their auto trans for the Allison?
That would be fine.I like one bout as good as the other
I got a reminder why I quit driving mopars with my grand cherokee
So I'm not the only one that noticed what junk Jeep became after Chrysler got involved. I did not read the article cuz I could not care less other than where does Mercedes fit into the equation?

I've been battling with mine the whole time I was in the mountains (bout 3 1/2 months) and think I have it norrowed down to needing a PCM
Ive had two jeep grand cherokees, a 99 and a 01, and both seemed to be pretty good. We compared them to a few ford and a few import suv's around the same years, and the jeep was a much solid nicer riding vehicle.
They both had straight 6's in them, and the only problem we ever had, was had to replace an alternator on the 01.
The main reason I bought the GC was the 4.0 engine seemed to last almost forever.I've saw a few with over 300k and the drivetrain never touched
But my luck never runs that good

I bought my wife a Jeep Wagoneer that was built before Chrysler entered the picture. It was a much heavier duty everything than what is being built today. Remember the vent windows? They actually used to open. When Chrysler first bought Jeep they were so cheap they left the vent window there, just eliminated the hinges and locking mechanism. Course, this is just my opinion, Chrysler makes no vehicles that I would care to own, and GM makes just one.
Yeah, dont get me wrong, Im not a big jeep fan at all, was just mentioning that we never had any problems with ours, and it was actually better then alot of the competition at the time (for what we needed it for!)
Our 01 had 120,000ish kms when we sold it, and the 99 had just over 200,000 kms. They were just babies yet!
Im with ya too Mark. The only dodges I wouldnt mind are the old muscle cars. The newer ones, nothing really turns my crank, although the new challenger is kinda cool.
This GC is the first non ford I have owned since the 70s.The last GM I had that I drove was a '67 Ralley Sport and had a 70 challenger T/A at the same time
Getting out of tthe challenger into the camero was like driving a yugo
