Jason, it was actually a darn good time. Wish the weather had been better (like Saturday was), but I'd do it again even knowing what the weather was going to be like. We (20 of us) had been planning that trip for nearly a year, and weren't going to let the weather change our plans.
I'm sure we'll meet someday.
Edit: forgot to say big thanks to Robin too. The battery tray arrived yesterday...he wouldn't take anything for it. It's in great shape. A lot better than what mine was in. Battery parts are all now almost ready to get done...again.
If not, order some injectors from Swamps and come on over this weekend. We'll throw them in in between football games.
Mike, if Jason won't, I'm going to take you up on this one weekend very soon. Once my build is complete, I'm going to have Cale whip up some tunes and then head your way! This is when Shawn gets done on his end... which is actually my end he's waiting on, considering I haven't sent off any injectors, yet.

I'll shoot ya a PM.
Giddyup. Keep in mind, I work 4 on and 4 off so the weekends come and go.
Yes, one battery is going underneath. It's going in a sealed aluminum battery box, so there shouldn't be any worries of water getting in there. I plan to put a little weatherstripping around the top cap and bottom tray of the box to help seal out any water. There is a vent tube in the box, so gasses can escape. The battery caps are also pretty tight fitting.
That box is also going to be mounted right behind the transfer case and in front of the fuel tank, on the inner frame rail. I'm hoping that location will minimize any water spray and road debris that may come up.
I'm getting ready to go pick up the frame/bracket that will hold the battery box in place so I can get it painted tonight and ready for install later. If there's time, I'll pull the batteries, put in the stock tray and start making a few new cables tonight.
Kai called last night to let me know the coolant tank and IC tubes are shipping today. Should have them by the end of the week! Still not sure about the throttle cable adapter though.
The serial to USB cable showed up on Friday, so I can now get the shift files loaded up the the PCS and be ready with the tach on it when I fire the engine.
Jeff's got a few more things to move this evening that I need to help him with. I don't think I'll have much time to much on the truck tonight, but the weather looks good for the rest of the week and I should be able to finish up things this week. We are headed to the NASCAR race in Kansas this weekend though, so whatever isn't done by Thursday night will have to wait until next week. However, I'm thinking I'll at least be able to get it running this week, although maybe not driveable because of the throttle cable adapter not being here yet.
No need to move both of them to make room for twins. When the time comes, the turbo's will both be on the passenger side. That one battery hanging out in the front driver's corner of the engine bay really won't be taking up any space that something else could be using. Plus, I wanted to keep one battery up in the engine bay for easy access, just in case I ever needed to provide a jump start, need one myself, or needed to temporarily access battery power for something else, like an inverter, air pump, etc...
Yeah, the cable ran me about $30 shipped to the door. It's an IO Gear cable, which is the only brand PCS didn't have any problems with, aside from their own house brand. The IO Gear actually outperformed their house brand just a bit.
