man, i love this quad... if anyone's looking for a mid sized quad thats tough as nails and all heart, this is the one... the suzuki KQ450. i am nothing but impressed with it. just finished plowing my driveway and 2 elderly neighbors driveways and its amazing how much snow it can move. not to mention the many times i've been out at -30 or worse and its never skipped a beat. best 8 1/2 g's i've spent in a long time... looking forward to some mud to try out the new rubber... they sure bite in the snow!!!

How much snow did you get in the last few days? We didn`t get alot, a couple of inches maybe.....
Is it a partial or full basement Jack?

Sherm you have disappointed me. I thought you would have taken out that quad when you got the new rubber put on last year. Trust me the new rubber is awesome in the mud. Only drawback I found was the cleanup afterwards!!!!

i know all about the cleanup Sharon...know all about mud too, but it was all frozen by the time i got my rubber last year. spring derbies start in late april/early may though, stay tuned for some nasty pics!!!
Marlon, was that farm out near langham somwhere? I wouldnt mind taking a peek if the house is still standing!
Yes, it is just north west from Langham. We sold the farm about four years ago now. I heard the new owners added on to the house because they had 5 or 6 kids and it was only 1060sq ft.
Im gonna try and get Sandi to call around for more places about wood. I just dont think we have had enough quotes and advice from different people that do them.
Quad looks great with the mudders on it.
Those will be great in the snow to, but i bet they are all but useless on ice.
My quad with mudders cannot climb a 2% grade on ice....unless i get out the drill and use it to screw in about 400 short sheet metal screws, that helps a lot.
No, not yet. I hopeing now to have it done for next winter as this one is almost over.
The framing, insulating, and hanging the gyproc is all easy.
But unless you have more patience than Job, hire out the mudding/taping/sanding.
I have done a few reno projects, and finished my own basement, but never again will I mud and tape.....Unless maybe I become an alcoholic to calm my nerves.
I am a perfectionist, and it would take me 2 years to mud and tape a whole basement.....I got one bedroom done in my last basement I was doing, then hired a guy to finish it for my sanity.
