It`s simply using pressure treated wood instead of concrete, so much easier to insulate and to begin with wood is much warmer than concrete.

And to add to what you said, I don't know if people realize that concrete is extremely porous, and allows water to pass thru it easily.

just like Fom says... wood framed basement constructed from pressure treated materials that are suitable for below grade construction. its very cost effective and much warmer than a standard concrete form. usually built from 2x6 @16 inch centers, solid blocking 1/2 way up the wall height, unless the wall exceeds 10ft, then double row blocking is needed. If strength is a worry, use 2x8's @ 12" centers...
overkill, but effective!!
thats true Saleen, hence the tarred exterior before backfilling...

Well at least it was a Roush guy. Kenseth wins after leading 1 lap and then red flagged for rain. Good for Jack.

Finally, it`s been way too long. Of course I`d like to see one of the Roush cars win every race........

I do believe that it was a Fusion. They have not ran the Taurus for the pst three years. But at least Kenseth denied the pretty boy his spot. You know, "Little Shrub."

I have noticed one thing. The Fusion at the dealership is a whole lot smaller than the Fusion they run on the track. I want the bigger one!
