Hydrogen peroxide will break down into water and oxygen. Not an electrolyte! The best is potassium hydroxide from a pool supply house. It is purported to do the best job of making HHO. Baking soda is a bad choice because it will break down into sodium hydroxide and carbon dioxide with some free carbon to muck up you system. Whatever you do just do it! Good luck.

KOH potassium hydroxide or Na OH sodium hydroxide are the two best electrolytes to use.

But also do be aware that both are very caustic alkalies and can cause burns to the skin.
Handle either solution as though you were working with battery acid.

A strong alkali will burn you just like a strong acid will.

Be safe, read up on propper mixing and handling of strong acidic and alkaline solutions.

Also if you use a strong alkali as an electorlyte, you need to neutalize it with acid before you can dispose of it.

Some of these chemicals can hurt you if you are uninformed.
A couple MPG gain is not worth a trip to the hospital and/or doctor bills.

I have all the parts, but with all the rain this spring I am suddenly covered up with wet basements.
That plus the cold damp air is driving my old knees crazy.

So everything is sitting in the shop, collecting dust.

I hope to work on it some this week end, fuel is very close to 5 dollars a gallon here now.
We are supposed to warm up to the 60's later this week and be in the 70's by the week end.
Maybe I will feel like going up to my non heated shop and working on it some.

If I had any idea I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself when I was younger.

Big shock.....I ran out of time this weekend. I hope to finish it this week as I have time and bench test it. If testing goes well, I'm going to try to install this weekend. I've taken some pics during assembly.....I'll share later. I need to get my truck to the dealer this week before I try to install this, they replacing my main engine harness under warranty. I do not want remnants of this mod on my truck going to the dealer....ya know what I mean.......

I bought it 3yrs ago w/ 45k on it and an extended warranty to 100k. Well I'm at 97k and I took it to the dealer for the first time two weeks ago because the HOP was leaking badly and surprisingly it was covered. Well when they got in there the ended up replacing the HOP and the valve cover was leaking so they pulled to replace gasket (covered) and found that part of the harness under the valve cover was in need of replacement but it's covered yippie for me. They didn't have it in stock so I have to take it back for them to fix it. Oh and the thermostat housing was cracked, they fixed that too. So for the warranty that the dealer gave me to close the deal cost me a $100 deductible and I'm getting quite a bit fixed. Damn I love my truck!

Update on my HHO generator:

The main part is all put together and all wired. I tested for water leaks and the cleanout fitting had two pin hole leaks. So I took the cap off and dried it and added more thread seal goop crap from ACE and tightened it up and I'm letting it sit until the morning when I will try again. So far the main part which houses the 12-18" rods holds 3/4 of a gallon of water. In the morning I will be refilling adding a table spoon or two of baking soda for now and hooking up my battery charger to see if it makes bubbles. If it does then I will complete the generator contraption and see how much gas I can produce in a minute. I'll also post some pics.......

The people on Watercar forum on Yahoo had a rally where three of them drove their cars for over 3000 miles. They documented their mileage with blubs on Utube. Google Stan Meyers. He supposedly demonsrated a car running on 100% HHO to Al Gore in Washington.

I'm young and have plenty of energy, just don't have extra money at the moment. Any one want to sponser my generator?

Also I'm having some problems with my truck at the moment I need to resolve first.

Well time for an update; no good news yet, this is what I've done so far:

First as you can sorta see in one of the pics below I had all the wires connect (6 black to a bolt w/ one lead out for - & same for red for +). I connected this to my battery charger, a small unit which only supplies 8amps. In about 1gal on distilled water & 2tbls of baking soda I got a ton of tiny bubbles jumping off the rods and the water started to look cloudy/white.....it was great. It lasted about 20sec and the charger overloaded and shut down. I figured I was drawing to many amps. So I got an amp meter and decided to hook it up. Well as I'm sure you smart people will see I hooked it up wrong (I know how to now...lol). So I was creating a dead short I'm told and it was pegging the amp meter. Without my new knowledge I assumed I had too much baking soda so I dumped the unit out and decided to fill again with distilled water. Without adding anymore BS I connected the charger and it still pegged the amp meter....this went on a few different times trying different ways. I connected just one + & - wire to the charger and got a reading of about 2amps, I got up to half my rods reconnected and was drawing just under 8amps from the charger. But I now was getting a yellow/brownish foam at the surface and no real bubble to speak of. So, discouraged at the moment and time to pick up the two oldest kids from the bus stop, I dumped it out and rinsed it real good with the water hose and it sitting on my bench for now!

I'm going to walk away from it for now and maybe look at it again tomorrow. Today is mine and my wifes anniversary so we are going out to for dinner w/o the kids and come home for desert after the kids have gone to bed!

I think tomorrow I will reconnect all of the leads again and connect the amp meter correctly this time, fill up the unit with distilled water and no BS and connect it to the truck battery to see what the actual amp draw is. Also to see if I'm making the bubbles again. I never was able to test to see what my production was because I never had the cap on for it to build up............to be continued..........I hope!

Oh any advice or criticism is welcome.................
