Had the truck out a few times recently and mounted my V5 Ford hitch on it from a 2014 F350 (frames widths are still 37" wide even 36 yrs later). Used it to pull over a tree I was cutting down near my house.
Of course a little progress and using it puts a smile on my face and the whole family can go with me when i drive it..so for now I have had a change of heart and plan to keep it.

Nobody repops the rear door pnls. You have to either repair or find a junk crew someone is selling or parting out. Once in a great while someone will post rear door pnls for sale on craigslist but they are asking a fortune for them.
i'm cheap and trying to find carpet for my 78 crew. has anyone tried to install carpet from a full size SUV into a 70's crew cab?? i got my seats from a surburban. i was thinking i may go back and get the carpet but not sure if it would come close to fitting. also there is many expeditions etc out there in salvage yards.
