I skimmed through this thread and I kept reading "You can't have to many crew cabs" so here are mine.

Between your pictures and what's listed in your signature I think you have too many vehicles and should sent a couple my way. Thanks.

You have a nice collection!

Agreed with the above. I'd take any one of them! Although the dentside & the '97 are my favorites.

I read alot about crew cab rear frame widths - just thought I would share my trucks, past and present:

1979 F250 4x4 std cab - 37" wide O/O
1978 F250 4x4 SuperCab - 37" wide O/O
1979 F250 4x4 Crewcab - 37" wide O/O

My supercab came equipped with a "Ford" V-5 hitch off a newer Ford truck and it bolted right up. Tonight I am picking up one from a 2015 F350 V5 for my 79 crew. Measurements over the phone sounds like it will bolt up no problem.

Odd that your 4x4 frames are the 37" width when my 78 CCSB 2wd has the 34" width frame.

When I sold my '02 F350 Dually 4x4 I removed the superhitch off of it and installed it on my crew. The '02 frame must be about a 1/4"-1/2" narrower. It took a little modification to make it fit.

Hard telling Ryan, since your truck has had the frame stretched, it may not be square.

Is yours the one where the "new" rear section is 37" and the original was 34" or was that someone else's that widens at the splice?

Old Screwcab

Might as well share my project with you guys. Project is well under way and I anticipate being on the road by August 2015 minus the suspension upgrade.

1976 Ford Crewcab shortbed One ton Cab and Chassis ex- Search and Rescue truck. Some folks might call it a snowfighter. It has the D60 kingpin front axle and D60 rear with 4:10 gears.
Refurbishing shortbed box found in junk yard.
Boxing frame rail to accept later power steering gear.
Installing 1990 IDI Diesel backed with ZF5 tranny.
Banks Sidewinder turbo kit.
Utilizing in cab fuel tank converted for diesel plus adding rear 30 gal and center mount 20 gal.
Building four link front and rear suspension with King shocks.
37" tires with undecided model and rims.
