I may have missed it on another post but what did you do to the front doors? Is that a vent window delete? That looks interesting.
blue said it.... it turned out really well. I was scared to attempt it at first but glad I did. Should be able to open the wing about half way still...
Is the plastic cover for the shoulder belts crew cab specific? I am missing the drivers side and I want to replace it. Dies anyone have a part number or know what jy rigs to source the rear door pulls?
Tia todd
The same rear door pulls were used in early '70s Mustangs. I think I recall NumberDummy saying they were also used in '78-'79 Broncos, and mid-to late-'70s Thunderbirds.
does anyone have a 2wd crew cab with a 300 six in it that would be willing to measure the height of there frame perches? i just pulled my 390 and put a 300 in my 74 crew cab and i cant get the mounts to line up. i thought it would be the same perches just moved forward but the forward set of holes is still to far back and the motor looks like it may sit a little bit to high. the mounts are sitting flat on the perches right now but the bolts are in front of the perches.
Im not at home but if you give me a few days I can look at mine
Measurements for a 300 I-6 will be the same for any 2wd truck, not crew specific so you could post a thread in the 73-79 area and probably get a lot more responses a lot faster.
Thanks for posting these pitcrew....i looked at the 73 crew on Monday...little more of a project than what I am looking for...however all sheetmetal looked good except for the hood.
Thanks... But I just did the 4x4 conversion. A couple of years down the road. I'll do the a full restoration. And no I haven't made a build thread. But I will. I've taken a bunch of pictures... Just really haven't had a nice hr to post it all... Lol. No kidding about a lot of work! It took me about 2 weeks
