Hello? Is the thread back open again? Hellooooooo? Check one, two . . . :-)

I checked my max readings again to see what they were over the last two tanks running the Econo tune and found that my max tranny temp was 172 deg F. The max pyro was 920 deg F., and max boost was 28.5 lb.

This has been mostly in town driving with a couple full throttle runs up the hill near my house and one good charge up an Interstate hwy on ramp to 90 MPH as I entered the highway.

920 is spectacular for any performance tune...I wouldnt have even expected that out of the lowest tow setting.

Okay... concerning some of the recent posts:

The FTE forums are not here for fights and brand bashing. Its unprofessional by those who have commercial interests (and I know who you are) and petty by those who have a personal interest. Such unproductive conduct doesn't belong here, and will not be tolerated.

Thank you, Ken.

Lets all move on with positive posts!
This doesn't mean there can't be concerns, but you don't see me in competitors threads bashing them! It's downright unprofessional and only harms the accusers credibility.

Anyways......I really HOPE this subject is CLOSED.

So how is everyones truck running?

Anyone else logging mileage?

Sorry, I meant to add that part. It was pre turbo, and unloaded, i.e., not towing and with nothing in the bed.

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here. Had a quick question. I bought a new Dark Satin Green F250 Lariat 6.0 PS CC FX4 on Memorial Day this year. Has a build date of 5/11/04. I took it to a local truck accessory shop 4 days later to buy the Superchip Microtuner for it. Since my arm was in a cast at the time, the technician came out to my truck and was going to install it for me. The upload of the factory program was successful, but when he started to download the program for me, it came back with the message something like "Check with Superchips on update for this program", or something to that effect. He told me that I must have an old program in my trucks computer from the factory, an '03 program, and that I would need to get an update. The local Ford dealer owns this business, so he called one of the service writers and told him what had happened. He said for me to bring it in and they would check it for me. After checking it they told me I had the latest program in my truck. I was going to Michigan frim Alabama the following week and we were wanting to see what kind of mileage it would get with the programmer, but could not get it to load. The tech that had the Superchip programmer told me he would try and find out why it did not load but he has had no luck. I was just wanting to know where my problem might be? It did not cost me anything because he could not get it to load and did not sell it to me. But from everything I have read, I really want to try this programmer. Any input on this will be greatly appreciated. Oh yes, I am loving this truck, gets 17 mpg on highway, was just wanting to better it, and feel the extra power when itis needed.

When all else fails, the instructions work. Do what the tuner told you to do: call Superchips. It is the tuner that needs to be updated, not your truck.

Thanks, they did not sell it to me, so, I don't have it to update yet. I was wanting to know if they have any on the market that are updated already? Maybe I should check with that dealer and see if he has any updated ones?

You sure it was the 1704? It must have been huh? A 04 factory program wouldn't upload on a 1705 would it?
