Tasty Taco Tuesday Washington, Tim, Ken, Ken, Kenny, Lee and all the crew.
Looks to be a pretty nice day in my woods. Started the morning at 63°, overcast and an unexpected but welcomed brief rain. Headed to about 87°, partly sunny, light breeze and the humidity will be low for us at 40%!
Not much on the agenda other than help wifey pick grapes and juice them. She will be making jelly tomorrow. Then I guess it will be Pear picking time at a friends place and then see what we do with them!
Afternoon here, Tim, and our Concord Grapes are just now prime. Daughters Concord Grapes are pretty much gone. She has had more rain than I have. Bad part is she lives 7.5 miles from me in a straight line. 20 minutes by road! LOL
Nice looking Ranger...what are those plans running through your head...gotta share with the class!!!
Well I've had a couple thoughts for it rolling around in my head. I think for now I'll just drive it with this engine while I gather parts to either a) find another Ford V6 like the one in it or b) which I really want to do is a VW TDI swap.
The other part it's if I do the VW TDI swap will I want to keep it automatic or switch it to a manual. Thoughts?
I knew there was a WA BS thread! Honestly, I just never looked for it. I guess we'll just see what I contribute to this pile of BS here. Have a good day!

I would think that a TDI swap would require a hand shaker. It would serve as an anti theft device also as there are fewer and fewer people who know what that extra pedal on the floor is for. Once you start it don't forget a build thread so we all can follow you!!!

Hopefully what you add Willie will help the thread grow.

I agree but make more work chasing down more parts.

F350 Ken, I have a Cummins 4BT in the shop waiting on completing the Bronco and then I need to find a truck for it. I'm thinking an older truck maybe late 40' early 50s maybe a flatbed, on an early Bronco frame. My plan is an auto transmission.
