Fantastic Friday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Ken, Nikolas, Ken, Steve and all the crew. It is now the Weekend Eve and almost time to start the party but in my woods it may be an indoor party this time. 83°, feels like 90°, plenty of sun for now and rh is 85%. Storms and rain - Maybe - just after noon and it will be even more steamy!
Ken/s, I must admit I laid in until 0730 this morning and I also think I have taken one nap here in my computer chair! LOL
Wayne, is that you on the search mission in the middle about to poke the bear? I like that picture!
Tim, What is up today and does Maria have a busy weekend planned for you? Becky hasn't said anything to me yet!
But one load of laundry is in the wash, Brunch is read to make when Becky gats back from the barn. 2 farm fresh egg omelet, sauteed onions and peppers, diced pepperoni and extra sharp cheddar cheese!
Then on to the dishes and see from there what other Domestic Househusband Chores are for the day!
Ken, It takes about 2 hours to read the meters and another half an hour to enter the data into a spread sheet and then email the info to our well operator. Unfortunately the leak never fixed itself over the month, we are loosing three tenth of a gallon per minute. Over the last 31 days it averaged 19.41 gallons per hour. As soon as this heat wave passes and my friend comes back from the Yukon we will actively search for the leak.
Rod, I haven't been informed of the to-do list yet. There is couple things I want to accomplish today is swap the winter tires and wheels for the summer wheels and tires, the summer wheels are in nicer shape. And I also want to replace the FM antenna on our camper.

That is a significant leak! Do you have it narrowed to a section? I remember talking about it but not what was said!

No, it is not isolated, we haven't even looked for it since we fixed the last one. You would think with that amount of water it would be coming to the surface, there is a couple issue that make it hard to spot. The main line does not follow the right of way, in some places it is over 100' off the roadway. In one case, it crosses a horse pasture where the land owner has no clue about water and being a good land steward, she leaves her water on 24 - 7 from the time the irrigation district turns on the water in the spring until it is shut off in the fall. 4' down when we were installing my meter the ground was saturated, we have turned her in for wasting water but nothing has ever been done. Then it crosses several orchards that are watered on a regular bases. On top of that the soil is very sandy in places and there is a good chance the water is going down and not up.
I wish you the best in finding it. You may have to follow the line I areas and run probs down until you find a wet spot! Not the way I would want to find it but sometimes ya gota! LOL
I have been thinking the same thing. There is one spot that we have a spur line heading out across the orchard we have not dug up that connection spot. Some of the other spots that we have dug on and found leaks they used repair couplers that only had one O-Ring (probably from the early 70s) and just weren't sealing well.
Good morning WA...Happy Saturday For All!!! Another tropical day here without the benefit of sandy beaches and ocean breezes...hope MA nature is giving you a break!!!
Tim...tough news on the leak after all the work you and your buddy put into stopping them. Persevere...you'll get it sooner or later.
Good Saturday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Ken, Kenny, Ken, Nikolas, Steve and all the crew. I hope everyone had a great Weekend Eve Party and didn't over do it!
Yesterday was steamy as predicted by me - forget about the Soothsayers - but we didn't get the rain and storms. We were supposed to get about .5-.75 and actually got 4/100ths in 24 hours. But as the rain we didn't get passed it has given my woods a fairly nice day. Partly sunny, 85°, 50%rh, light breeze and an index of 86°.
I hope everyone has a great day and Ma Nature is nice to everyone.
