Rod, I got the truck back together yesterday evening now I just need to do the initial adjustment. I have it scheduled for a front in alignment next Tuesday and then some new tires. I bought the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac® RT-LT. I'm keeping my extra set of wheels just in case I want to back to a full set of winter tires.
Started the day at 68° it is suppose to get up to the mid 90s today.
Evening Tim and Nickolas. Sorry about the bad back. They really put things on hold. I pretty much hurt all over to a certain extent, so it is hard to single out the back unless some new damage!
I have been gathering tools to try to resurrect the A/C on the '93 F150. The wife likes to ride in that one but doesn't like having the windows down.
I am with her on that. I grew up without AC and it SUCKED! I was about 30 when I got my first car with AC and to this day I 100% believe that is why I have a greater hearing loss in my left ear! LOL
I saw the ISS for the first time unplanned last year when I was walking to my van to head to work at about 2-3 in the morning. I saw a great big low flying orbit flashing deal and said "WOAH!" Pulled out my phone and pulled up the star app thingy and sure enough it was the ISS. The wife and I have really gotten into star gazing since we moved onto the boat. I miss having the stars in the fall and winter though, kinda hard in this state. Favorite is Cassiopeia. I have Cassiopeia, Cygnus, Orion, Taurus, Pleiades, Big and little dip, Polaris, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Perseus, Andromeda, Sirus, Mars pretty much memorized now. The larger ones I struggle with and remembering which ones make up the constellations like how Betelgeuse is part of Orion.
The old stories and lore behind them is also fascinating as well especially when it comes to Pleiades if ya'll don't know about that one.
Evening Tim and Nicolas. Kind of sticky and unpleasant here with the rain and sun combination.
Tim, that sounds like good progress on the truck. They certainly are heavy parts. I don't have anything bigger than a F150 that I work on anymore.
Nickolas, I agree the stars can be fascinating. we have seen the ISS pass overhead multiple times here. Pretty amazing to think that folks are on it!
Nikolas, I agree the stars and planets are amazing. There is a guy locally that has been taking some awesome photos of the night sky's. There are lots of things moving around up there.
Good morning Washingtonians...and...wandering enthusiasts...Welcome To August!!! Gonna be another scorcher here...mid 90s...RH in the mid 70s...rather tropical. Hope MA nature is treating you better!!!
MA nature puts on some of the greatest shows...and...they're free!!! The next show will be August 11,12,13 when the Perseid Meteor Shower will fill the skies!!!
So, has Wayne left the country or do we need to send a search party?
Here I am. Still kicking, just been busy and trying to enjoy the short break from the triple digits. Supposed to be hot again for the next 7 days or so, 104 today, 108 tomorrow.

Good August One Washington, Tim, Nikolas, Wayne, Bud, Ken, Steve and all the Star gazing crew. It will be a hot one this afternoon in WV. We finally got 32/100ths of rain and maybe some more this evening. But this afternoon the Soothsayers say 98°, very high humidity and an index of 102°!
Every evening I sit out and watch the sky, but this time of year, I am usually inside just at dark. But Spring, Fall and some in the Winter I get to watch the stars. I see ISS several times a year and see a lot of other stuff pass over. I have several Star apps (Android) Star Tracker, Stellarium, Star Walker 2, and Sky View and one of them identifies space junk and you can track it. Some of the junk orbits.
I also have ISS Detector and ISS Live Now to track the ISS and when it will be over me!
