At this stage in life, "Nothing to report!" is always good! LOL
Sun is currently out, picked 3 nice cucumbers and see 4-5 more that may be ready late evening or in the morning. I see about 1/2dz that will be ready tomorrow evening Monday morning. Bell peppers are coming on in force and the Jalapeños are doing nice despite the plants being small. With what little rain we have had and watering the grapes, we should have a bumper crop! Elderberries are pretty much done for the season. Herbs are doing great and despite the hot weather, the Kyle is doing pretty good!
Maria harvest a couple Jalapenos yesterday, our Bell peppers are still a ways out yet. We didn't plant any cucumbers this year..... Well we did but between the birds and bugs, the plants never survived and we never replanted. We have have been getting a lot of zucchinis, pretty much harvest early and have been eating them raw.
For once the cucumbers are doing well. I need to take a good look a the Jalapeños and see it is time to pick them. We don't grow zucchini or squash because we have plenty of friends the grow large patches and we are loaded with what they give us well into winter!
Evening Tim and Washington. Funny, I just picked the first cucumber a few days ago as well. I have been watering them by hand nearly every day. The peppers are doing great. I picked several California Wonders for a friend the other day. I need to get going on the pickling of the other peppers but with all this humidity I haven't been too anxious to start the hot water bath process and put more steam in the house! I have at least 1/2 varieties that can be put up at the moment.
I serviced one of our ATVs today, Can-Am 850 Outlander. It sure is a pain to work on, but the lift table sure makes it a lot easier. Plus there are a few tricks in learning that makes the process a little less painful. For one thing, to lube all the suspension joints, jack it up and take the tires and wheels off.
Joyous Sunday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Kan, Steve, Ken and crew. Hope everyone had a great Saturday, and you have a Blessed Sunday.
I am off to Mom's for my Sunday routine.
Good morning WA...Happy Sunday...just like that the weekend is half over. Another Triple H Day here...currently 80* with 75% RH...hope MA Nature is kinder to you.
You guys still getting the smoke from the wildfires??? We're getting some haze from the ones in Canada.
Tim...nice set up for the quads...much better than being on your knees or back.
It's been a busy day moving stuff around with the tractor, feeding the chickens, taking the wife to the airport, checking in on my mom, completing my mom's to do list, lots of driving, surfing on craigslist and maybe picking up another Ford soon.
Merry Monday Washington, Tim, Ken, Wayne, Ken and all the crew. Bright sunny morning and headed to 95° but extremely low Humidity for us at 35%. We will see what happens but if the humidity is that low, it should be a pretty nice day!
Sorry I didn't make it yesterday because of my Sunday routine.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and Ma Nature was kind. She wasn't kind to my woods when she didn't give us the promised rain.
