I'm replacing the tie rod ends on my truck, decided to replace the drag link as well. The original stuff does not have grease fittings. The rest of the parts should be here Tuesday.
Merry Monday morning Washington, Tim, Ken, Nicholas, Ken, Lin, Ian and all the smokey crew. So far no smoke here in WV but the Pollen count is very high. I went out front at 0800 to feed the cats and birds and sneezed every little bet for almost an hour.
Well the Soothsayers defective crystal ball proved it cannot predict the weather once again. We were supposed to have rai and storms starting about 0000 and lasting through the day. NOPE! 0.01 inches overnight and nothing until 1400 today and that looks very iffy on RADAR.
It is supposed to be 82°, overcast - nope sun is out, 60-70% humidity, maybe a breeze and sticky! I guess sticky will be good and the plants can absorb some moisture from the air?!
Tim, I did that on the 99SD just before I sold it. Everything from the axle shafts out including calipers and hoses. What a job!
The truck only had 60,000 miles on it, I was surprised that the tie rod is bad already. The right hand side is loose and left hand side is all but seized up. The lower drag link joint is the only one that feels good.
The new stuff made by Moog is all greaseable, should last a little longer then the stock stuff. I hope!
Another BC drop in, good morning everyone.
We are getting some sprinkles this morning, but not enough to really call rain.
It is 19 C here now at 9am, supposed to only get up to 22 today, so a cold one.
Tim, they should last 300,000 miles, but all auto makers nowadays use junk parts, its not just Ford.
Neighbor drives a Toyota tundra, and has had a lot of issues with it already, and its a low mileage 2024.
My 2024 F350 doesn't have enough mileage to have issues yet, i hope it stays this way for the next few years.
Good morning WA...Happy Saturday #2!!! Gonna be a Triple H Day here...mid 80s wit RH approaching 70%. You might think it was summer or something like that.
Good morning Washington, I'm in the big city of Wenatchee waiting on Maria. She is seeing specialized dentist for a tooth that is loose. Hoping it can be saved.
Good Afternoon, back in Sunny Anacortes and it has was dumping rain pretty hard yesterday all the way back from Langley, BC. Its dry out now but overcast warmish and muggy. My summer fun and projects may already be over according to the chiro last night. My lower spine is a little twisted and may have a herniated disk. Have another followup and review today at 4. If thats the case I'm gonna have to get someone else to address the front diff leak and the rest of my suspension components. Its hard to get into the truck right now even or get the puppy in there.
Good Evening Washington and all the crew on what is a warm and sticky day in WV. Hope everyone had a great day and stayed cool and dry.
I made some of the rounds this morning and had to leave for DD's and spent most of the day there! I spent time with the Grandson and Puppy which is doing really good.
Evening Tim and Nickolas. Sorry about the bad back. They really put things on hold. I pretty much hurt all over to a certain extent, so it is hard to single out the back unless some new damage!
I have been gathering tools to try to resurrect the A/C on the '93 F150. The wife likes to ride in that one but doesn't like having the windows down.
Happy Hump Day Washington, Tom, Nicholas, Ken, Steve, The allusive Wayne, Ian and all the crew. I hope everyone has a great hump day as the humper and not the humpy!
Tim, have you gotten the Super Duty back together? It is a pain doing it by yourself and trying to hold some of them heavy part up and bolt in place. On the 99 SD SRW, I used a floor jack to lift and position some things to get bolts started or to get them in place while doing things by myself!
Nicholas, sorry to hear of the back tweaking. I to have had back problems for 40 years and it doesn't take much sometimes to tweak it. I hope you can take it easy and work through it! Becky and my Chiropractor and friend has kept us going for years. I don't think I could still do the things I do if it wasn't for Russell!
Looks to be a bright sunny hot day reaching at least 92°, humidity anywhere from 45% to 65%, a light breeze and the say the real feel will be 98°. We still need a lot of rain and the Soothsayers defective crystal ball says rain and storms late this evening and into the morning. I HOPE SO!! Very dry here and I am afraid we may get in a severe fire danger period!!
So, I think I will plan to wash the cars today, plan to sit out in the evening and watch the stars and see it I can see the ISS. That ought to be enough to Pee off Ma Nature and she wet on my parade!
So, has Wayne left the country or do we need to send a search party?
