As I said earlier I got the be snow tires yesterday, got them put on last night. Took it out for a drive this morning, the hit knocked the steering out of alignment.
Fantastic Friday Washington, Tim, Wayne, Trustin, Eric, Ken and crew on this Weekend Eve. Hope everyone had a great week, rested and ready for the Party tonight!
Beautiful day in my wood at 62°, sun, light breeze and nothing white in sight!
Started the day at 33° and 95% RH, hasn't changed much in the last couple hours.
Ken, I have tires installed, but not the alignment. That will be done on Monday. The impact did knock somthing out though as now the steering wheel is crooked.
Well I'm back out in the North Atlantic about 100 miles from where the Titanic sank, was supposed to fly out Wednesday but they bumped 6 of us till the next day, was in flight briefing and 5 of us got bumped to today but then one guy got to fly so now we are 4, only 3 of us showed up this morning plus 4 of the 5 that were scheduled so here I am in the big blue pond.
They've had 2 emergency shut downs in 5 days so they are still trying to get the wells back on line. Hopefully the first 2 come back on line tonight and they can start producing again. Need wells producing so we can separate gas from the crude then start the compressors.
Also had problems with the turbines getting them started, 1st is running now on diesel but once we can get the wells producing should have fuel gas again so then the rig doesn't have to burn diesel and gas fuel is free as it's a byproduct here. Right now it's costing about $300,000.00 a day for diesel fuel so $1,000,000.00 every 3 days. Just hoping we don't have to fight the system with leaks again.
Thanks for the update Eric, $300,000.00 a day for diesel fuel, WOW! And I thought my fuel bill was high. What's the weather like in the North Atlantic this time of year?
Good morning Washington...Happy Saturday For All!!! Got a storm moving in tomorrow...4-8" of white crap forecast...hope MA Nature is taking better care of you!!!
Have a great day!!!

Hopefully it's just the alignment and they can recenter the wheel with no issues. I'm old school...I never put new tires on without getting an immediate alignment. I don't know if it's true...but...supposedly you can do some serious harm to new tires in just a couple hundred miles.
Ken, I'm sure you're right. As easy as the car hit the rocks, I was surprised it got knocked out like that. I just hope nothing is broke or bent inside the rack and pinion unit. I sure don't see anything bent on the outside of it.
Well, the day started out kinda wet. I decided it would be a good day to knock out the taxes for both Maria and I and the community well system that we are in charge of. Ours was easy, almost done still waiting on one document well two, I guess. Ran into a problem doing the community well's taxes, as it turns out I need to issue 1099 Misc to myself for the work I have did installing water meters. No problem until I found out it needs to be filled by January 31st. And then I need to hire someone else to e-fill it before Wednesday. The powers to be won't let me be the issuer and the filler. Good thing I started today...
Joyous Sunday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Trustin, Eric, Ken and all the crew. Little more rain today and about 45 for the high but nothing white or frozen.
Yep, good thing you started early on the taxes! They do get a little demanding over "Separation of Duties"!
Hope everyone has a blessed day.
I am off to Mom's for my Sunday routine!
Merry Monday morning Washington, Tim, Eric and all the crew. Hope everyone had a great weekend and Ma Nature was kind to everyone. Starting the week cold but not frozen at 35° and dry today. Yesterday received about 3/4 of an inch of rain.
Have a great start to the week.
It's currently 30 and snowing on the rig here. Supposed to have some storms the next 3 or 4 days so we will be stuck here again. The helicopter got cancelled this morning as they had freezing rain in St. John's this morning and looks like no flights for a few days and no boat transfers either so it's isolation time. Had some parts for the turbine generator and 15 passengers coming out. 8 were headed in.
We finally got through our 3rd compressor so whenever the customer is ready they can start reinjecting gas into the wells again. We have no way to hold or transport the gas from the production field so only option is to reinject it.
