Delete it and never look back. My dealer has no issues working on my truck. When my early build 2011 dropped a valve (April 2010 build), my dealer installed a long block and still warrantied it for the 2 yrs. Spend the money asap for the delete and save on def and future repairs to your emissions crap. Anyone who's running emissions crap has no idea what that stuff does to their engine. Ever seen the intake piping around the egr after about 50k miles? Yeah thats running through your engine. Being a heavy truck I don't have to get emissions where I live so thats a plus. Not to mention the power it added and the sound. Next up..bigger turbo baby!
We have foreigners invading our country and putting a strain on our social services and we are worried about deleting emission off of diesel trucks.
All the while climatologists fly in the private jets to conferences to spew thier lies.
I like to tell those climate freaks....in a few billion years no life on Earth will even be here so WTF cares. In a trillion years the Earth won't even be here.
Has anyone with a truck with all the emissions crap on checked the oil after it’s been changed? It is nasty black, just think what it’s doing to the engine and everything else.

none of the emissions equipment you guys remove has anything remotely to do with climate change, in fact, the emissions equipment results in MORE CO2 but less NOx, CO and PM. The people that actually know the science make this compromise so that we all don’t die of black lung,
emphysema COPD etc.
The Super Dutys that Ford builds for the DOD and and a few other federal agencies do not have DPF's and EGR's. None of the diesels used by the military have emissions equipment. The reason they are exempt is that it makes them more reliable, last longer, and get better fuel economy. The feds are okay with making that your problem. If you plan on keeping your truck, delete it.

You have not been around Diesel engines long have you?

50k miles goodness!? Wonder what mine looks like at 275k? Totally stock and never been opened up.
Truth be told, I'd more than likely delete with a stock or heavy tow tune but here in the CARB state of New York, I believe diesel emissions testing is coming to the whole state at one point... While I understand about deleting and not injecting exhaust gases into the intake and combustion chambers, the problem more than likely started with the coal rollers and their nonsense, and the internet just brought it to a bigger audience... Truthfully, I'm hoping those SOA pistons are legit and if so, get CARB certified because all the folks saying "just delete it and never look back" don't realize that for some folks, it's not an option. I understand the rest of the world does not have our standards, but I also believe that CI engines as well as emission component technology will continue to advance to become more reliable and longer lasting. All one has to do is look how far the technology has come on gasoline powered vehicles. Again, not perfect but WAY BETTER than it was in the 70s and 80s.
Not deleted.
Had the intake off while doing a DPK. Not pretty only 90k on sons 16
Before cleaning
After ultrasonic cleaner

Yes, I ran into the same thing when I installed my S&S DPK kit. The oil catch can was installed with 40k ish miles... while I believe that the can helps, I wonder how much different it would have looked with an oil catch can right off the bat but they didn't have a kit when I bought it in Dec. 2016.

You realize, as I just recently found out, there's at least 3 quarts of oil left in the block when you do an oil change? The initial fill for the 11 to 16s are 17 to 17.5 quarts if I'm remembering correctly.
