Yes I have a deleted 6.7 and could not be happier. As for how much work is involved, not that much depending on what you do. I left all teh EGR parts in place and only replaced the 100 pound torpedo under the truck.
The ECU profile shuts off the EGR so I did not see a need to take it off the truck. As for the exhaust, I paid a small muffler shop $200 to remove the torpedo and replace it with a straight pipe. If you live in California or NY, you probably should not delete. If you are inclined to take your truck to a dealer for service, you should probably not delete. If your state requires emission tests, you definitely should not delete. Personally I an very happy with my trucks performance. I get some where between 2 and 5 miles per gallon better fuel around town , according to Fuelly. Also the Truck feels more responsive. AS some one else pointed out, You can buy a lot of DEF for the $1700 or more you will spend to delete. I drive a lot of short trips half the year and got tired of the regens. They also worried me. If you decide to delete, contact me for the misinformation I was given. Hope thi helps. By the way, I understand the Feds are cracking down
Here is another option. These guys sell LEGAL tunes and seem to know more than DieselDudes who do not seem to know how to diagnose issues.
However, that said, the EZlynk is the way to go.

There's tons of guys here in my area of WNY that are deleted... Emissions are not done here but I know they are done in the NYC area and surrounding areas due to population density. They just had all the shops buy new inspection machines and I believe they print them out now instead of having a pile of inspection stickers that they used to have to buy from the state. If emissions goes state wide, all those deleted truck owners are screwed... Time will tell.

4 more of LGB and it will be a given. Funny, but this morning I heard on the news that one of the major battery plants in china is using slave labor, and apparently one of the plants used in the states for EV production. Heard talks of IL cracking down on deleted too.

Yeah I'm thinking he's not... But on the subject of this, let's see what happens... Stranger schtuff been known to happen right?
I learned something new today that I had not thought of. When you delete you will gain at least 100 lb of additional payload capacity. The DPF/SCR "spaceship" is HEAVY. It's a two man job to carry it around!
Between that and removing that big EGR cooler under the hood the old girl is quite a bit lighter!
So far it looks like better performance, better fuel economy which means less fossil fuels burned, and no more diesel exhaust fluid and regen cycles which destroy fuel economy and add plastics and cardboard to landfills. Lower intake is cleaned and sparkly again and should stay that way longer. Better for me, better for the environment. Win win.

There's tons of guys deleted here in Western New York. The problem comes in down state near the Rotten Apple and surrounding area where they do emissions testing due to population density. There's no emissions here but I would not be surprised if we went to it across the state with all the push on reducing greenhouse gases and all the other climate change scam talking points.

I like it!
I'm thinking of going this route also. I was wondering what you did with the DEF tank...drain it, remove it or just disconnect the electrical connections to the pump and heater?

Advice of the big local diesel shop is to fill it completely up with DEF before the procedure and leave it sealed up. Reason being is that a full tank will hold less air and therefore will be less likely to crystalize over time. So what I did was I filled my DEF tank completely with the "Premium" DEF a few days before the tune so that the good non-crystalizing formula would be sent throughout the lines and injector. Hopefully in the future IF I have no choice but to return the truck to stock the DEF system will be perfectly functional.
also, do whatever you think is best for the DEF tank. don't put it off, cause you'll never come back around to do it.....speaking from experience. i think mine is fully crystalized at this point lol.
can confirm, spaceship is HEAVY.

I haven't looked at my DEF tank since I did the delete back in late 2018. Can you cut the tank out and plug the inlet pipe?
