Logically I would think that deleting the emissions would increase mpg just for the fact that there are no regens and the truck doesn't have to work as hard. However, I would not recommend spending the money to delete to chase mpg savings.
And I'm not going to make decisions in life based on some guy in Illinois that has COPD. If his claims of having issues with deleted trucks is true then he needs to carry an oxygen tank when going outside as there are other pollutants to worry about. I've choked on transit bus fumes more than I've had issues with trucks in general.
there are a emission standards for a reason For a bunch of shade tree mechanics to decide that they don’t need it and pull it out is just ridiculous.
YMMV

Funny but I don't recall me or anyone else here saying that you or anyone else here should base a decision on what you would do to your truck and why on someone who has a health issue and who doesn't jump on board the delete train with both feet... lighten up man...
This is about having the conversation and stating what you believe in while having respect for a different opinion is all... folks get their panties in a bunch when other folks, heaven forbid, come at them with a strong opinion about what they think.
As to more mileage, yeah, I'm sure there's some because there's no fuel being injected for the missing DPF but not like what some guys say because to be honest, many of the deleted trucks I see are aggressive drivers... but before my words are twisted, not saying ALL deleted truck owners drive like @$$ hats.
Gotta be honest, with everything I've said prior, it's because of @$$ hats like that moron Ram owner pictured, drawing attention to himself by spewing unburned fuel out those stacks, that we are in the pickle we are in with the EPA... Add in modern technology aka social media, here we are...
Since I'm the Gale Banks salesman here, I've been told, I'm going to quote him (paraphrasing here..) :
"You don't need smoke to make power..." Those morons are just dumping fuel aka dollars out their exhausts while giving all of us a bad image to John/Jane Q Public.
I completely agree with your statement. After my trucks weight loss I wanted to make sure that it acted like it didn't have the dpf removed. It's about as quiet as a new diesel truck and only puff's a little when I'm accelerating.
Although I wish the tuner had a "roll coal" option so that if I encounter climate change protesters I can give them a taste of soot.

My replies weren't aimed at you so "lighten up man".
Reread ACDII posts. Respecting different opinions works both ways. However, you can still respect an opinion and still strongly disagree with it.

Just trying to keep the peace... I do it on a daily basis at work...

Rolling coal is stupid. Hard on your injectors to over-fuel, and just gives all the tree huggers more ammunition to try to force us all into a piece of garbage cyber truck.

"Reputable tuners do not write smoke tunes. They tune for max performance and efficiency for the mechanical components of a vehicle. If a tuner says they will write you a smoke tune, run. If you want a smoke tune, don’t ask a reputable tuner."
I'm a big believer in and defender of deleting and tuning. EGR's and DPF's don't belong on diesel engines. However, rolling coal on the street is infantile and causes much of the non diesel truck owning public to support more vigorous enforcement of diesel emissions laws. Be smart and fly below the radar.

what muffler are you running? i am in the market to tone down my truck. its acts and looks stock. its just a bit too loud.

After the weight loss the diesel shop installed a 4" Flo-Pro "muffler". After being subjected to drone for about a month I went to a muffler shop and had them install a muffler upstream of the Flo-Pro "muffler". Much better.
I would be careful deleting it, It's against Federal law. Dealers and shops won't work on them because if there caught it can cost them thousands of dollars in fines. I know of two companies that made delete kits and the were fined hundreds of thousands of dollars. Ebay also got in trouble for selling kits.
Good luck

By all means, that's a responsible and reasonable response but IMO, with the fact that they sell CCV relocation kits along with other products that support deletes, and the fact they are expressing a pro-delete opinion on their website, with what's been going on which is no secret as the mainstream market for deletes has moved north of the border, they are putting themselves out there and on the radar.
This is not an anti-delete opinion as I have expressed over and over that I'm not against deletes, that I understand why some do it, as I first researched deleting after reading of the problems that emissions components can give when trucks do a lot of city driving, low speed, stop and go and idling (which I learned after was the problem) but just an opinion of why a company would want to publicly express a pro-delete opinion in this day and age when the EPA has been **** ing folks/companies left and right.
