We think I have 90cc sticks and I make 15psi on stock fueling around fuel cut, 3600rpm or so ('tow mode is 19-20psi area). Yah, if my mill is going to blow I am going to send it.
You may have awful valve float or who knows. I cruise for hours on end at 2500.
It’s never done this in the past, so I’m hoping I just need to fix the boost leak. On tow mode I’ve pulled for hours at 2500 and easily hit 20+psi when pulling up hills. The truck has never been 100% since I pulled the old turbo and did the up pipes
Sometimes thats how it goes. When you start replacing/upgrading worn parts, you keep moving the weakest link to the next worst part in the system. Once you get all the worn parts replaced it'll be a monster.
Well I ended up having too many people over at the new place on Sunday to do anything with the truck. And today I only had 15 mins or so of motivation after taking a load of stuff over to the new place. The truck has been running fine so long as I don’t go past 3/4 throttle so I’ll probably dig back into it this week or next after I get back in town.
I’ve seen a bunch of OBS trucks with rotten fenders in the last few days so I got paranoid that that was the reason the PO put these flares on. Took the 5 mins to unscrew them and I am in luck! No rust! Just a couple spots where the flare rubbed the paint down to bare metal, so I’ll pick up some touch up paint. Never was a fan of them anyways
I have a set of “west coast” mirrors in the garage that I trimmed the mounts on. After the trimming it should be a good mix between a super wide tow mirror and the tiny factory mirrors. Just gotta fab up an aluminum plate and rubber spacer to go against the door. These factory mirrors have a big rectangular hole that the electric adjuster arm goes through that would just be a big gap with the mounts that come with the mirrors. Pulled this pic from the internet but it’s these mirrors and should sit about 4” closer to the body
I ordered the recreational mirror from gaudin Ford about a year ago to replace a damaged one on mine. They aren't quite as large as those west coast ones but they are factory Ford and still available. About 150 a side I believe. Comes with everything minus the small round mirror.

I like these, but I wanted to keep it fairly easy to go back to stock if I decided I don't like them, so I chose the only option I could find that didn't have mounts lower on the door

That is the same idea I had for my OBS. I want to run narrowed Jr West Coast mirrors, just had not come up with which set-up yet.

Well when I eventually get to it (these mirrors must have 1/4" of dust on them already) I'll post up some pictures so you can see what I did. I think these were from Mill Supply and were on sale for around $300 when I got them, but that was probably 9 months ago or so
Alright, so I got my autoenginuty tool today and ran some tests. Injector buzz test passed along with a few others. I wanted to check on my HPOP, so I watched ICP and duty cycle. Had normal numbers at idle, and had roughly 3000psi and 40% duty cycle at WOT for a couple of seconds, then the truck basically falls on its face and drops to 800psi and jumps to 80+% duty cycle. I’m have the following codes already logged, not sure which of these comes from this issue.
P0500 vehicle speed sensor A
P0344 camshaft position sensor A circuit intermittent (bank 1 or single sensor)
P1211 Injection Control Pressure higher/lower than desired.
I still have the boost leak that I haven’t gotten around to fixing, so hopefully when I get back in town after this weekend I can fix it and test again. Not sure why that would cause this though.
Have you cranked excessively? Mine threw a cam sensor code when I did that diagnosing a no start. Can’t remember if it was the same one. For the 1211 I replaced the ICP and ipr at the same time and that fixed her right up. After inspection I think the ipr was the main issue there. Have you replaced those?

yeah it cranked for a long time after the weird power loss when I tried to reset it. ICP and IPR are both new motorcraft parts in the last 6 months. I’m thinking HPOP or injector o rings. But the injectors are only a few years and 40,000 miles old
