I have the battery light any time I’m not hard into the throttle, and I had to jump the truck after a couple days so I know the batteries aren’t charging well. I’ll have to look into a rebuild vs replace.
for the HPOP I’m trying to decide between the CNC and Adrenaline. After hearing about all of the bad out of the box t500s I’m not super interested in that one. Trying to decide if the Adrenaline is worth the extra 2-300 bones
CNC Stage 2 was out of stock in November, so I went Adrenaline. Still works for my cute 90cc sticks. Holds 3200psi at full tilt...no more bucking and way less smoke. Leaning hard into 205/30s now, maybe Edgethis will get a real HPOP and give us the scoop how the run.
Clean the rectifier stud aka charging cable lug. My Volvo V90 would have chronic dead batt issues...corrosion lost ONE VOLT from it to batt. Cleaned, no issues. Could be that silly, or you have a wiped VR. Easy easy easy fixes.
Congrats! Thats a super nice looking house. I plan to buy a house next time I move. I hear the market is brutal right now.

Dang, let me add the hpop onto the mountain of parts I want lol. Once I get done with this axle project and can finally put the new wheel and tires on. Then maybe I'll get a man sized hpop. O and after the double din obs interiors custom dash install is complete.
I am super intrigued of the performance advantages you speak of. I can't wait till one day experience those.

another reason I want an auto ingenuity scanner thingy, the ability to read that kinda crap on the truck. Plus I threw another CEL today and it felt like the truck defueled after, could be due to over fueling from my boost leak though. That’s good to hear about the adrenaline though. Maybe I’ll just pinch my pennies one paycheck longer to get it. Just have to get an A/C unit, blinds, fencing, sub panel in the garage first. It’s ok. I’m ok. It’s just money...
I’ll check into the battery terminal this weekend. I read somewhere that the battery light only illuminates when the alternator isn’t producing enough voltage though

yeah I had a fat lot premium to get a lot where I could then pay even more to get a house with a 3-car garage (technically a 4 car if you include the tandem bay and don’t drive a 21’ long boat). I signed in January, the same floor plan in an interior lot with a 2 car garage just closed for $35k more than I did! With everything how it is, I’m lucky the builder didn’t just kick me to the curb and sell my house for $70k more than I paid

Well @Khan was right. I trimmed down the intake spider a little bit and everything fits nicely. RR sent me a rounded o ring for the turbo outlet. Will this work? I put my old squared off one back in instead, but it still leaks so I think that o ring is shot. Part of me wants to just slap some high temp sealant on there. I’m going to trim the pipes a little more tomorrow morning to see if that helps

I'm glad that worked out. I still need to do my intake Y as well.
Rounded o ring should be fine, I've ran both without issue on the few times I've removed the turbo.

I posted my pre and post numbers somewhere in my thread. On the hot street mode, which I am assuming gives all the fuel once the baro senses full boost, the truck would drop down into 15-1700psi area I recall. Duty cycle was basically maxed out around 60% and the truck would buck on the top end. New pump? Nope, not anymore. Clean 31-3200 and way lower duty cycle.
Even on tow mode the pressure came up, as did performance. Wait until November, most shops run $100 off deals on their HPOPs.

I just have an old Edge Insight that I used on the 6.4 for the 7.3, I tried the wireless BT to no avail. The AE sounds neat, but no clue how to make it work.
The alt also grounds to the bracket. So maybe pull it, nail the case and the bracket with a stiff metal brush. Do the wire terminals at the solenoid too. The new to me 4.9 truck would not crank when I bought it, cleaned all the connectors in that manner...spun right over.
Also, pulling the VR is super easy. Four fasteners. Worn brushes will cause the same issue to random undercharge as they are not contacting the rotor. You can be a super cheapskate like me and just pop brushes on it.
Lol after joining this site I’m basically gonna replace everything there is on this truck. Not that I wasn’t anyways, but you guys have compelling arguments.
Well I tossed the new round o ring in and everything seems lined up, but still have a huge boost leak at the outlet. Tomorrow I’ll trim a little more off and see if it’s just still not sitting flush. If it seems lined up right, has a new o ring and new v band clamp, anyone have any other ideas on what it might possibly be?
This afternoon the truck was defueling (at least that’s what it feels like) really bad at anything over 2500rpm. BUT, that was in the first 50mi after installing the HPX line (which doesn’t really fit that well and is kinda getting in the way of my turbo outlet haha add that to the list). I just drove home from the girlfriend’s house and at the end of my drive I gave it a good run, hit about 2700rpm and 11psi and didn’t defuel or throw a code, so is it possible the truck was doing that because there was air in the HPO system?
We think I have 90cc sticks and I make 15psi on stock fueling around fuel cut, 3600rpm or so ('tow mode is 19-20psi area). Yah, if my mill is going to blow I am going to send it.
You may have awful valve float or who knows. I cruise for hours on end at 2500.
