But in my defense, both Summit and Trick Flow also list Powerport heads, which is what I have. I just missed that there was no "," between "Powerport" and "A460".

And of course, nobody has the correct ARP head studs that I need. Summit's site says they'll ship from factory by September 27. Two friggin' months! Oh, and I backordered an Edelbrock 7566 intake manifold from Summit. They originally said it would ship from factory by August 23. Now they say it'll ship September 9. Yippeeeee!
Sorry to hear that Buddy Unfortunately between Trump's tariff fiasco and covid we are here. Things are gonna take some time to return to some semblance of normal and I seriously doubt we will return to the way it was. On a positive note at least they will eventually get there.

I was trying to avoid voicing my political views, but since you mentioned it..... ARP fasteners are made in the USA. I don't think President Trump's tariffs apply here. People choosing gov't handouts instead of jobs, and eviction free housing are to blame.

ARP head Bolts are available. I planned to use studs on this application, since it's power potential is high. But considering how I'll drive it, ARP bolts will work just fine. If I get paranoid later on, and if they're ever available, I can always swap to studs.

I was speaking in general terms how shipping has become the conundrum it is today not a political point of view but given how politics is these days anything can be viewed through that lens. Not to worry brother I will make a point of avoiding anything approaching a political point of view even though our individual services to our country certainly is deeply rooted in politics as well as love of country and that is a topic we have shared freely in our conversations with each other.

So you have options Avoiding dissimilar metals at all costs

I liked buying from Summit b/c they didn't charge sales tax in states where they did not have a physical presence. A recent SCOTUS decision has apparently changed that, Still, the free shipping for larger orders is attractive where the actual vendor does not offer something similar. Nonetheless, Summit is still a reseller that uses data describing products gotten from the actual vendor and crammed into the database that drives their web site. Sometimes things get lost or distorted in translation. Thus, I try to look beyond the Summit listings to what the actual vendor has to say about the product if they have a web site. Just an extra bit of due diligence that might save a fellow a bit of grief.
Re Edelbrock, they have been going through a major move from California (high wages) to the SE US where wages are lower.
This, coupled with the variables that Redroad cited, means that "the times they are a changin'".

Yep Red, there's options. I hate to do it, but I think I'll go ahead and order ARP head bolts now before they become "out of stock" too. Hopefully Summit will let me return the set of incorrect studs. They're expensive!

Yep Flowney, Edelbrock is moving from a bad environment, to Olive Branch, MS. A lot of the hot rod industry is there, and seems more is coming. We certainly welcome them, I just ask that they leave what drove them here, back where they came from.

Unless I'm forgetting something, the only big money items left to order are the ignition system, starter, carburetor, head gaskets, and accessory drive. Now that I think about it, that's actually a lot! And at least once each day, I'm reminded of small needed items and I jot them down on the list. I'm in the "twenty dollar death" phase of the build. The big hold up will probably be the intake manifold backorder.

Well since I sent you one that was decided by the build direction to not be needed, do I need to dig out the other one I have to see if it will work for your application?

If it's an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap model 7566, then yes I need it. You'd be da man!

Underwear, flip flops, and spider spray will do just fine.

Speaking of creepy crawlies, I needed to use the wire wheel on one of my bench grinders down at the skinning rack the other day. It hasn't been used in months. I turned it on, and 30+ red wasps were launched onto my shirt. Fortunately, they were all killed or mortally wounded by the wire wheel. They had a nest in there that completely filled the enclosure. So when people tell you not remove the cover plate from your bench grinder, you can tell them that Mikey says, "BULL SHIZZLE!"
