You guys are giving me hope on this project. Thanks so much. The house we moved into is great for entertaining. We had the kids over for Easter and it was nice enough to use the courtyard. It's a great place for relaxing, grilling, and enjoying the day. My wife wants a propane fire pit in that center section.
We are also about 2 miles from the state capital which has a great museum that could be a nice trip during a work break.

I can see this becoming more "party" than "build"

Well if people are going to help me put up this building I have to keep them fed and entertained at the least.

If there is a site you could post that shows the building you have and any plans it would give us a better ideal what it would take ,to get it up

I was able to get some generic instructions while I'm waiting for my drawings. I need to study them.

Joe,
I looked over the installation instructions! Hopefully others will comment too. The components of the frame are very heavy (steel structure) I think you will need a crane service for the better part of a day to get these set if you have every thing in place to set the bents (mainThings like getting the insulation and the sheeting correct and sealed looks like a lot of work! structure) The details in the description are a little intimidating at least to me. There are a lot of moves and details to get a correctly sealed building that will provide years of service. I guess my recommendation is to hire a good steel construction crew to put this up for you. you can have a full time job helping as a ground man, clean up and gofer during the build. Just my suggestion. Here as a supporter just trying to help you get the building your after.
I just got the inside ceiling completed in my shop using liner panels. Had a crew come in and do it for me, I helped, was a lot of work. Nothing is cheap on these things either! I am sure you know that too!
Regards,
Chris

Chris, Unfortunately I haven't been able to to locate a builder willing to install a building like this. Another part of my nightmare this shop has been.
But, maybe by the time the building gets shipped I can locate someone. Otherwise, it's me or no-one.
I have a lift rental place a half mile from my house. US Rents It is also just 3-4 miles away. When I get closer to the dates, I will do more research.

I was just talking to a realtor friend last night and she was saying everything is crazy. She has 17 contracts on a home, all at asking price or over. If you don't have a cash offer, you will most likely not get a house. Builders are busy, but I figure that will drop off soon with the price of lumber through the roof. When things settle down, there will be a lot of people underwater on their homes. Not sure how bad the real estate market is around the country, but here you had best not sell if you are staying local. You won't find a new place to live.

The RE market here on the central coast of west FL is crazy hot. A neighbor who is a realtor listed a house next to me on a Saturday and had a full price contract in hand that day. Not a cheap house. It is common for a house to stay on the market for just a few days and bidding wars are happening.

Also in Germany, actually RE prices are stupid and also about the lumber, price increased by 90% since January..

In Ontario, lumber, drywall, steel and any other building material have gone through the roof. I get emails regularly from my suppliers warning me of more increases. 3/4" ply wood has gone up over 200% in a year. As for RE, ya that is nuts as well, everything goes over asking. My youngest son wants to buy but can't even get into the market, simply nothing available at an entry price point. The joys of everyone working at home I guess.

Housing market is CRAZY in my area in SoDak too....Our banker does a monthly vlog and he just sent on saying normally this time of year there is ~850 houses for sale in the inventory, right now it's 25 houses and those go as fast as they go on the market. With bigger companies like Amazon and thermal cool building huge facilities (100,000 sq ft+) as well and people moving to SoDak due to the lighter COVID restrictions the population as really increased.

Builders have clients who are on a two year waiting list to get houses built where it used to maybe 3-6 months. First time ever I can remember builders are asking the local news to do stories informing people if they are planning on have a house built, get on that builder list now (money down to secure your spot) but make sure if they are selling their current house that they have a place to live all lined up (apartment / rental house / etc.) "before" they sell their home since there isn't enough available housing currently.

Jim
