I've installed 20136 and, so far, no issues. I do not use USB music or Sat radio so can't confirm if those are 100% functional.

After being up and running perfectly since successfully using your instructions back in Feb/Mar, is it even worth me bothering mess with this new file or just "Let it Be"??? Truck is working fine!!! (Knock, knock knock)
I see you can’t PM yet
so some needed details please
you “upgraded” to 3.4 from what.
And what year is your truck
It should be an easy fix. Just need some details

Not sure why I can’t PM yet. I did just sign up a couple weeks ago.
Anyway, it’s a 2019 That originally had Sync 3.0. I was having terrible problems with the touchscreen and tried everything including upgrading to 3.4. Finally took it in (a second time) and they had to replace the APIM which is what I asked them to check the first time. Maybe they didn’t believe my level of internet research expertise haha.
What other details would you need? thanks for your help on this by the way.

GoTo settings and about sync find the build number screen
take a screenshot and post it
that way we can see what version you are currently running
you need minimum number of posts to be able to utilize the PM feature
I just looked at it. I don't know if any of the numbers on there are private but it does say:
Sync3 Software version 3.4
Build 20021_PRODUCT
So maybe I already have the latest Maps version when I upgraded to 3.4 a month or so ago. If there are any other numbers you need just let me know. Sorry I just didn't feel comfortable posting the whole screenshot.
Thank you for your patience with this as well. I appreciate the help.

nope those are correct
other than you VIN and maybe ESN nothing is “private”
Look and see what your map version is. Should be something like
1.17
1.19
You said you upgraded to 3.4 a month ago
Did the dealer do that via an APIM upgrade or how did you upgrade it.
Thanks Leon for the screenshots and installation steps. Was very easy to setup.
Some changes to note for 2019 w/Nav models7) Inserted USB 3.0 Flash Drive into truck and started truck. Left truck running during install.
8) Observed the following:
a. USB Drive(Name of the USB) Indexing in progress
b. Indexing Complete
c. Updating System Software message appeared and remained.
d. Takes about 8 minutes, and the system reboots/restarts (leave the truck running)
9) The new Sync 3.4 software should load after the system reboot.
Hello Leon,
The 3.4 upgrade is mentioned in the cyanlabs.net tutorial.
I have recently downloaded "syn3updater", but haven't used it yet.
Hope this helps you.
Is it possible to use that syn3updater to go straight from 3.0 to 3.4? I have a non-nav unit but it looks like syn3 will do a non nav update? Don't care about having nav anyway as I use Carplay anyways. But I have a second device I use sometimes for Media and the media controls on sync 3.0 are pretty terrible not to mention buggy and unresponsive at times.
I much prefer the appearance of 3.4 anyway but from what I've read it appears to improve the responsiveness as well which would be an added bonus.
I've got a 2018 F-150 with the 8 inch unit.
From what I've read it looks like with syn3updater I can just download the file and choose what I want (ie leave out nav and save the space on my unit) and then be able to update right on to 3.4 just through that.
