I had the same problem when I was trying to update using the same USB drive that I used before. It seems that the “format” function within CyanLabs doesn’t work correctly and after a while downloading the process gets stuck. I formatted the USB before starting the app and it all went smooth.
im told this can be done over wifi if you either enable auto updates or go in and do a "check for updates" . requirements are that you are within range of an accessible wifi like your home network........is this true or is the wifi update updating something else?

It may be able to now but it did not see any updates for me when I tried at the time while connected to my home WIFI.
The links I tried to follow for the 3.4 update from CyanLabs didn't work for me.
I went to my Ford owner's page and checked for an update, but SYNC3 v3.0.20204 was the latest version available. I reached out to Ford and they told me that the availability of the update is solely based on the Vin # of each vehicle and has nothing to do with the year or model, which doesn't make any sense at all. The conversation ended with them offering to submit my concern as a "feedback case."

Thank you! I'm going to work on this tonight. Can you revert to the licensed ford software version at any time? If so, is it as simple as the USB update process or more complicated?

Yes you can update anytime.
syn3 downloads the files direct from ford servers so it is the licensed versions
Has anyone done the CyanLabs update having the NavTv upgrade installed. I have my thumb drive ready and then it hit me that I have the NavTv camera in motion module installed. Any ideas?
