Sync 3.4 Version 20021 Update
Remember that Sync 3.4 is NOT an official release for vehicles not shipped with 3.4 and is not supported by Ford. Those of us with Ford trucks that shipped with Sync 3.0 or lower will NOT receive upgrade notices for 20021.
I'll report back to this thread when I've heard good reports. For those of us with Sync 3.4 installed I'll also include a sample upgrade install script and the location of the actual Ford file.
IMPORTANT: I would discourage anyone not comfortable with IT from unofficially installing Sync 3.4

UPDATE:
PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK. With that said we can always downgrade to prior 3.4 versions if there's an issue with 20021. I personally suspect that this version is simply a bug fix release.
I've heard of no issues relating to the 20021 upgrade other than having to manually reboot.
THIS 3.4 UPGRADE WAS ON MY 2018 F-150 WITH NAV
THIS UPGRADE WILL UPDATE ANY VERSION OF 3.4 TO 20021
NON-NAV UNITS MAY REQUIRE A COMPLETE REINSTALL OF 3.4

Here's what I did:
1) Formatted USB 3.0 Flash Drive to ExFAT and renamed to SYNCMYRIDE
2) Downloaded 20021 app file 5U5T-14G381-EB.tar.gz from here. This is a Ford file server.
3) Renamed file to: 5U5T-14G381-EB.tar.gz (I always standardize file names to avoid confusion)
4) Created autoinstall.lst install script:
[SYNCGen3.0_3.4.20021]
Item1 = 5U5T-14G381-EB.tar.gz
Open1 = SyncMyRide\5U5T-14G381-EB.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall
5) Moved files to USB 3.0 Flash Drive and created correct file structure (I'm on macOS):
6) Unmounted and removed USB 3.0 Flash Drive.
7) Inserted USB 3.0 Flash Drive into truck and started truck. Left truck running during install.
8) Observed the following:
a. Indicated upgrade in progress.
b. Upgrade message disappeared.
c. One minute later Updating System Software message appeared and remained.
d. Six minutes from start the message Update Complete appeared. USB 2.0 Flash Drives take longer BTW.
9) I shut truck down, opened/closed driver door and restarted truck. The previous version of Sync was still being reflected. I then rebooted Sync by pressing and holding the volume and skip right buttons down until the restart occurred. Correct version (20021) was reflected after Sync reboot.
10) I see no forward facing user feature changes. Seems visually crisper and also more responsive. I rely on my iPhone for music and nav so I don't have feedback on this version's native apps at the Sync level.
I also downloaded the three folders to upgrade to Sync 3.4 to my computer....but have been hesitant to pull the trigger. I still have a month of warranty left, and the Sync 3.0 is working just fine. I also read where a few folks upgraded to 3.4, but then decided they liked 3.0 better. In reading the thread, reversing the upgrade seems difficult if not impossible.

HTH,

WARNING: Those with non-Nav barely have enough room for 3.4 so the future is unclear when it comes to upgrades.
The reformat utility is a one-way street so I would discourage the unoffical upgrade to 3.4.

**Update ** Installed the 20021 update. I forgot to mention this in my orig post. I edited an old Sync autoinstall file to reflect what you posted to kick off the install..

EDIT: If you're simply upgrading to JR3T-14G381-AS 407Mb Sync3 v3.0.19205 25.07.2019 you don't need a NOINDEX file.
