Sync 3.4 Version 20021 Update

I have a question.. when i update my system it says that (5u5t-14g381-EB) cant be found. Any way i can fix this?

Verify that every single letter and number along with file structure is correct. There's no room for error to be honest.

Yes. There's a picture in the first post shows the file structure. The only thing I would change is remove the delay in Options.

Just an FYI that's there's a new version 20136 of the apps file out. Here's the version for Nav units:

5U5T-14G381-ED

842Mb Sync3 v3.4.20136 15.05.2020

I've installed 20136 and, so far, no issues. I do not use USB music or Sat radio so can't confirm if those are 100% functional.

Any idea if the new update enables you the ability to search through USB music while in motion? That's the one issue I have with 3.4 and why I retrograded back to a previous edition.

No personal experience with USB Music to be honest. I did see posts on other forums stating the USB problem(s) still exists though :-(

Use FORScan to enable 'NAV In Motion'. It has been reported that will allow USB music search while in motion too.

Post a screenshot of the files and structure of your USB stick.

Thanks, I've done that before on my current set-up. However, doing so also deactivates the 911 emergency calling feature too, in addition to the European signage. Kinda makes my OCD tingle, but I may give 3.4 another try. One thing to note, after I reformatted and upgraded to 3.4, my Travel Link gas price area search no longer functions. When I downgraded to my current 3.3, there was no improvement. With an active route in the Nav, the route search function works as designed on both 3.3 and 3.4.

Edit to add... I just upgraded back to 3.4 with the latest map files and after a master reset, the Travel Link area fuel search miraculously works again. Only glitch I'm seeing right now is that when I get back in the truck and I had been listening to USB music, the USB music is still playing upon restart as before, but the FM radio screen is shown. Did this on two different restarts. I'll continue to monitor.

Sync 3.4 with new maps update issue

I updated to 3.4 a while ago and tried to install the new maps update and got an error.
"Installation error. This SYNC software is not compatible with the installed SYNC hardware on the vehicle."

The install guide says this happens if you have Sync 2.

Has anyone else successfully updated the new maps file who also has updated to 3.4?
