Has anyone that performed the 3.0 to 3.4 update had any negative effects on the functionality of accessory controls? I have a 2018 F-150 Platinum, and I’m concerned that all of the accessories controlled by the touch screen will carry over and still function as well after the update is applied

Ummmmm, when or if you upgrade 3.4, why are you concerned that your previous touchscreen accessories features from 3.0 will carry over and continue to function on 3.4.
In my opinion, that’s what people want including the new and different looking 3.4 interface.

FWIW I upgraded my Sync 3.0 in my '18 F350 and everything works perfectly.
I kept the maps that I had updated about a month-and-a-half ago from 20351 update. I can't recall if they are 19 or 20, but I updated them with whatever maps were out when 20351 was available.
It should be okay to do both at the same time I would think. I only use Google maps though. The Ford nav stuff is not my preference. Most times I'm just watching the jbv1 screen anyway.
Can you please share more about that jbv1 screen? Some preliminary googling indicated its a radar detector map for android? How are you displaying it on your sync screen? does it connect to a bluetooh detector dongle? Which do you recommend?

Thanks for your time!
Jbv1 is an android (no ios version) app that works with the valentine 1 radar detector. You run it on your phone. It doesn't run on Android auto nor does it show on the truck display panel. My phone mount near the cup holder area let's me run jbv1 on the phone all the time. That's why I referred to watching that screen a lot. Jbv1 connects to the valentine 1 via Bluetooth. You can read all about it on Rdforum site.

Gotcha. Thanks so much for the clarification. I will definitely look more into it.
As an aside, i wanted to say I used this Cyanlabs to update my 2017 Sync 3 to 3.4 with new maps without a problem. at one point it looked like it was stuck unpacking a map pack but after 10 or so minutes it jumped ahead. entire install took about 30-40 minutes. It's nice actually have the correct Tappan Zee Bridge show up now on the map instead of me hovering over water. The OS does feel a lot snappier. other than that I haven't noticed any differences but i've only had the car for a few days so i didn't get a chance to get intimate with the old OS.
I updated my 2018 with cyan labs also. Everything looks good except I think I am missing the album artwork on satellite radio. Anyone know if that is the result of needing to do the firmware upgrade step?

I've never seen album art display on SiriusXM. You have? Even on CyanLabs, they mention it doesn't display. I'd love to have it as I listen to SiriusXM frequently.
Hey guys, I am having trouble and get get past this point of the download. I have tried restarting my PC, and selecting an older version of 3.4 as well. Any suggestions?
The application stopped responding for me a couple of times, I just shut down the application and restarted the download. I also had the connection terminate several times.
The files are stored locally before the flash drive is created, once you start it again it will go through and confirm the files you already have an continue downloading the ones you dont have.
I updated my 2017 F350 with no issues. It fixed the annoying source change problem that the 2017s had where it would change from XM to AM or FM when restarting. Deal wanted to charge me $100 to fix the issue. Thank you CyanLabs.

I think you are right. I saw the empty place on screen and thought it was just not showing, but later went back and looked at some 3.0 screen grabs and realized it wasn’t there before either. Newer software on older hardware I guess.
