1. I plugged the USB cable that is coming out of the touchscreen in to the USB in the console. For some reason it will not charge even though it is the same cable that was plugged in to the dash mounted panel. The other connector that is there for that USB, should I use the one from the console harness or the one coming from the dash? Does that make sense?
2. I still cant figure out where that bit plug goes that is on the harness toward the front of the console. Maybe I have the wrong harness because it is different than the one I took off of it.
3. I think I need wiring harness HC3Z-14A318-AH instead of HC3Z-14A318-AJ, any thoughts?
Update: I ordered the wrong harness to start with. 😐

Well...I did it. I just bought a console off Ebay from a F150. It was one of the nicer ones I've seen for a decent price...only a few minor scuffs from seatbelt use.
I'll need the cubby to put in place of the shifter, and the two dash pieces, and I should be set!
did you figure out the cup holder ?? I too purchased a console with a shifter for my XL—
didn’t think the cup holder would out price the whole console itself...... looking for alternatives too.... might find a 3D printer and have something that will fit made for 60

Yes, a member here generously hooked me up with the one I needed. I do hope BGG comes up with a console shifter kit sometime soon!
Since my Supercab has floor vents that come out under the driver and passenger seat, directed at the rear passengers feet....I would just need to remove my current duct work running down the floor, and slide the center console in place (center console has the duct in it), right?
I don't care if I have rear vents or not...I wasn't planning on putting them in anyways (i.e. buying the lower duct under the dash and cutting it in), but since I already have that, I guess I'll keep it. I just want to know if I need to rip out what I have to fit the console...or if I need to remove the carpet to get the duct work out (not doing that), or what? Anyone done this on a Supercab...or are the CC's the same?

the under the seat vent are only for lower heat and cool function on dash controls. You do not (should not) need to remove them. The console has duct work in it, but in order to get them to function you will need to cut open a section of the down piece from the dash. If you don’t want the console vents to function you need not cut the opening. There is a picture of it on these thread at the beginning I believe.

So the console just sits on top of what's on my floor now? Awesome, thanks!
I just didn't want to wrestle the console in my truck just to have to take it out again if it didn't fit. Looks like I know what I'm doing today! (If it stops raining... )
