Ok, i have read through twice, printed it out for reference.
2017 F350, medium earth grey per window sticker.
questions,
1. interior dash trim color. Code on sticker says 3S.. Armour? I cannot find online a list of codes.
2. Did I miss seeing descriptions of how to remove dash side pieces, vents and such?
Pop up the front of the coin tray thing on top of screen, sneak in there and get the three bolts. Now you can carefully pull out the bezel surrounding the screen. Once this is off you can pop off the left and right trim pieces, once they are off the vents are clipped to the back of them.
the armor color is the like off-gray shiny stuff if I recall correctly, its what my xlt has.

thank you.
What about the need for the trim piece below center radio bezal, directly below the heater controls. Still needed? I went through the post because I thought it mentioned, maybe in a different posting?
to cap from top of console to above mentioned face plate.
I saw one on giant ford site but not sure this is it?
Ok, I have learned to not assume anything.
I watched the video, picked up on the driver side trim issue with the lower hole.
I found a console with the 2 center dash trims, then backed out once I noticed that the same year F150 trim has the hole lower than where my brake controller sits, like in the video. Of course the seller said it would work, but no guarantee….
Most I see are that way. So on Giant Ford website I found that left side in Armour, Right not available.
Several questions now, reference the attached photos.
1. The center trim below the heater controls is the top one? Part Ford FL3Z-15046B32-BA
2. From the Giant site photo, part Ford HC3Z-2504339-DA looks like it has the hole only about an inch down like my stock one? I wonder if because it’s XLT it is higher?
3. The right side will have to come with console, should match up? Ford FL3Z-1504338-DC
If you buy a console, yes, the plug shape matches but the pins probably won't.
My 2017 F350 has the inverter, jump seat only had a 12 volt on the rear. I received the console today and after reading about wiring issues, thought to trace both my truck and console plugs. The truck wiring colors “almost “ matched the drawings plus 2 pins were different than shown.
I finally finished tracing wires, diagramming them. One sheet for the truck, Another for the console. The console I used a small 12 volt battery and tester to see what each pin powered. Being the console was out of a F150, I made quite a few changes. Thank you Flyguy30263 for answering my question of how you re-pinnind your plug. I ended up moving 9 out of 10 pins, only one matched my truck. Even the inverter at the back of the console will work, all lights, etc.
Saturday I will install it. Fyi, even though Tasca says Armour right side trim is unavailable, it was available.
2 hours, start to finish. All lights, outlets, including the inverter and apple car play work the start. Biggest pain was cutting out, screwing the AC duct in place.
Thank you all.
Now that the 2023 Super Duty trucks are only a few months away from production and Ford did not make a center console shifter an option in the 2023 SD models, the question is: Can a 2023 F150 center console shifter be retro fitted into a 2023 F250/F350? In a previous post I mentioned the center console shifter conversion I did to my 2020 F350 King Ranch using the applicable Ford parts from a F150 King Ranch. I really like the center console shifter and hope a similar conversion can be done to the 2023 I plan to order. I've looked at the interior pictures of the 2023 SD and F150 center console areas. Although the two truck interiors look quite similar (maybe the same), the pictures are not good enough to be sure they're exactly the same and, accordingly, are interchangeable. Can someone from Ford who is reading this let us all know? Letting us know would be a huge help to those interested in this conversion. Thanks.
Here ya go. The prices are approximate. Shop around online. The console is the killer on shipping. I found at a fairly close dealer for $225 with another 5% off. These prices are from FordPartsGiant. I bought all less the console from Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor. They are great!!!

Thank you to this group! I followed when I had a 2008 F250 and have recently acquired a 2022 F250 XLT. I have read this post and have started my console swap. I was able to get a console from a 2020 King Ranch from a Salvage yard. I am now working on the wiring. I put a lot of pictures for reference, but I am looking for 2020 passenger pinout and 2022 floor connector pinout - pass side and maybe the front connector pin out for the 2020 Console and the 2022 in dash harness and maybe what I can expect to work given the wires offered in my current 2022. In the pictures below you will see I have identified the pin (male/female), wire color and wire size (sm, med, large for ease). You will see what my truck came with and what the console offers. I can figure it out, but it seems this group is a great source of information and may save me some time.
