Im about to buy all the parts listed. I’ve looked and looked online for a console and they are $800-1000 now.
Would rather build one from the parts list and it’s all new and shiny.
Thanks to H20camper for the write up and helpful info.
Yeah, I completely agree. It is now better to just buy new since the used market is almost just as high. I noticed this as well when looking for my console. It seems market demand has driven up the price significantly and used is almost as high as new and often higher with shipping costs. Glad I got in before it was too much a cost to bear.
in yours parts list, can you please elaborate on the screws used but not listed? where were they used? size or sizes?
thank you sir

thanks for your help, in the parts list, does the console listed come with the harness? i know you said you had to splice a lot of stuff, my particular truck is a 19 xl cclb with inverter so it would be nice to be able to plug and play for the outlet, usb , and power outlets to work. where did you get the diagram for parts? the sites ive been on arent that well illustrated. ive picked up some parts from my local dealer and when i asked if they could help find all the parts to do this swap, they where fairly adamant that they could only look up parts for specific serial numbers. your list has been a huge help.
My console did not include the harness. I order harness # HC3Z-14A318-AH. I did have to manipulate the wiring to get things to work. A DVM will be your friend for this. The parts diagram is from parts.ford.com.
ok, ok, ok. im not seeing the parts breakdown so it must be my browser settings. so thats on me.
thanks again. youre a good guy to keep helping out when people ( such as myself) keep asking stupid questions and miss previously posted information.
I'm purchasing the parts to assemble one as I didn't want an used one. Its quite a few parts and isn't cheap but it is cheaper than the $900 MSRP option listed for a XLT. As Tricon states above, and he told me as well, it should be an easy swap and looking at things, I'm in agreement. The dash bezels will probably be the roughest part and I've had those apart before. No big deal there. If you're interested in parting one together, I'd need your trim level and trim color.
If you’re still doing this, XL, medium earth gray. I have the sync 3 screen because I have the 360 cameras.
