Awesome THread. I'm still up in the air on whether to do this mod or not. I originally wanted to do it for air vents for the kids in back but now that I have the floor space up front I'm kinda digging it. Ugh Decisions decisions.
h20camper, New member here and have read so any helpful post that you have submitted. Here's hoping you can give me a head start on my console install. My truck is a 2020 F150 VIN 1FTEX1CP5LKE40045 Console was removed from a 2020 F150 VIN 1FTFX1E40LKF49004 Front of console hopefully will get it power by moving the USBs and 12v Power Plug (cig lighter) from the lower part of the dash to the front compartment in the console.
I would like to re-pin the connector on the right side of the console (C3133)?)........... to match my the male connector (originally connected to the jump seat) in my truck. This would be to provide power to the rear panel of the console. Can you provide a pin diagram of the two connectors (current truck.....and that of the console)? I would also welcome any comments or suggestion you may have on the swap!!
The image you have posted is connector C3133. The floor connector between the seats (@ jump seat). Note that this pin out is from the 2017 manual. I have no idea if anything changed with the 2020+ models. I used a DVM to meter out the console harness and reconfigure it to match the pinout of the floor connector. Pins 3,5,8,11,16 and 21 applied for me.
Thanks for the reply..........it appears my 2020 connector has a different pin arrangement, or at least the wire colors are totally different.
Any idea how I could get a diagram like you have posted for the 2020?
These two pics show the installed center console shifter kit I purchased from Platinum Performance. The kit was $1355 plus shipping. I strongly advise purchasing the kit instead of trying to get the right parts from Ford. The 16 page instruction booklet was a big help. This conversion took about 5 hours to complete. Now knowing what the solution to a few of the install challenges were, I estimate I could do the job a second time in 3-4 hours. I'm very happy with the outcome appearance and functionality. These kits are comprised of the Ford parts that are used on the upscale (King Ranch, Platinum & Limited) F-150 models. This was truly a 'plug and play' kit. The most significant challenge was coming to realize a fair amount of plastic had to be cut out of the inside of the stock center console to allow the new cup holders to clear the existing inside plastic bracketry. None of the cut out work is visible once the final pieces are in place. Ford should offer the center console shifter as an extra cost option on the upscale Super Duty models.
I am having an issue with the power points not working after plugging the harness in. After reading all this I see Ford has the console harness pinned differently than the cab harness. I have a lot of work to do.
Sorry to hear you're having a challenge with your installation/center console shifter conversion. What power points are you referring to? There were just two factory harnesses that came with the kit. One ran from the new shifter down to the transmission and the second one ran from the new shifter back to the steering column area. They were both plug ins to the existing factory connection points. Are you also converting a truck which did not come from the factory with a center console? If so, that's "a whole different kettle of fish'. Good luck with getting your install done.

Everything is installed and it all plugged in. The issue may be how the harness is wired in the plug itself. The truck is a F250 STX. It has the 8" screen with apple car play android auto, seven speaker sound system, satellite radio, 360 camera, and blind spot radar. The console came from a F150 and I'm not sure of the year. I believe the pinouts between the two harnesses are different so I'll have to modify one of them or perhaps replace the harness in the console. The console has 110V, dual USB, and 12V outlets in the back. None of that works. I thought this was going to be a plug and play but I'm seeing that isn't always the case.
So from your recent pictures you have the center console removed from the truck. I'm guessing your truck didn't come from the factory with a center console? if that is the case, your installation conversion process is not the same as what I dealt with. MY truck, an F350 King Ranch, came from the factory with a center console that was very similar to the F150 King Ranch center console except it didn't have the console shifter. I believe that's why the kit I purchased was such an easy plug and play. I never had to remove the center console to do the install/conversion. it does seem our base equipment is comparable so it does seem I can be much help.

My truck had a mini console and no jump seat. The upper console component where the F150 shifter would go and cup can be swapped out to the F250 easily. The issue now is the pinouts in that harness. The plugs are the same but the harnesses are wired different. I could just buy an F250 lariat harness and it would work.
Ok, i have read through twice, printed it out for reference.
2017 F350, medium earth grey per window sticker.
questions,
1. interior dash trim color. Code on sticker says 3S.. Armour? I cannot find online a list of codes.
2. Did I miss seeing descriptions of how to remove dash side pieces, vents and such?

I ran into the same problem. I pulled out the entire harness and made a new one myself. For the USB wires that go in the little slide console you can use the same ones from the USB that was in the dash. Pull out the whole center stack, trace the wires, undo the Christmas tree clips, they now have enough room for the console
