It's bad enough seeing it from the air. I bet it really freaky at night on the ground.
I just drove home from a board meeting tonight at 8:45 and the smoke was less than 50’ off of the deck and visibility was only a couple of hundred yards. Air quality here has been in the Very Unhealthy range.
I just hope you don't end up with any secondary deaths.
Been travelling, just spotted this.
We did think about that, but the farmer uses them and he has dogs and cats. So far lots of dead rats around the place, dog likes finishing them off, but nothing else - not even dead mice.
Dog and cat just kill but don't eat rats, so we reckoned we're safe. So far so good ?
Should be. The issue is withpoison that last in the body. Warfarin is one that does carry over to anything that eats it.
You're right there, in the UK farmers used to use cyanide against rabbits and that would kill 3 times. Cat and dog both in bed last night, cat because it can, dog because it's frightened of thunder, so still alive!
Thanks Sean, the next time I get to go to bed late at night I will. Right now I'm on a schedule driving Les to and from work, early rise.
The other day when my wife was leaving her shop and backing out of the parking space the MDX sheared off the right lower ball joint. No prior warning.
Kind of interesting damage. The wheel went forward, hitting the bumper. Tire went flat, I thought it was torn. Nope, the arm punched out the inner aluminum rim taking a 4x6" chunk out of it. The CV shaft tore apart when moving forward and then crushed the oil filter. Ain't limping that home.
Had it towed to a local garage who will do the work. It couldn't be flat bedded and I didn't want the AWD to be towed too far. That balljoint was not in the repair plans as our daughter had it replaced before we got the vehicle. It will be interesting to see if I can tell who made it.
I searched for broken balljoints on MDX and two years ago there was a guy who had EXACTLY the same thing and damage happen, word for word.
Les was shaken by the incident and the thought that could have happened on the highway. I calmed her by saying it probably would only occur when in reverse, but we all kind of know ......
It read 34°F on the way home at 9pm. I never had an A/C this cold. I need to check the cal on that thermometer, but it’s damn cold coming out of those vents. It was the first time my wife ever asked for the temp to be set higher, and it was at 73°F.
New scroll compressor, new condenser, of course new drier/accumulator, and exactly the spec’d 28oz of 134. In order to replace the orifice in that car you have to spend two days while pulling the dash completely. They put the damn thing on the cabin side of the firewall.
Would make an odd wrap on any vehicle. I see it is a DRW.
I see that they clipped the top corner of the mirror. I wonder it that will make it to the ones they sell or not.
