I have ordered some parts from Ford Parts Giant before and had no problem.
A month or so ago, I needed the bracket that holds the interior door handle on my 07 Expedition. I could not find the number, so I asked FordPartsGiant for it. They told me 6L1Z-1621813-B. I assumed (foolishly) they knew what they were doing and ordered the part. When I pulled the door panel off and opened the cardboard box, it was the wrong part. They had given me the part number for the latch. I have tried to get an RMA four times. I have had nothing but radio silence. Twice I did it on their "get an RMA" button and twice on the chat where I was promised a response in 24 to 48 hours. I suspect since I opened the box, they won't take it back, but that is a bit of a problem since I did not know they had given me the wrong part number until I opened the box.
So, if you order anything you may have to return (including things that are FordPartsGiant's bad suggestions), don't open any boxes. Look straight through the cardboard or you will be stuck. Anyone want to buy a 6L1Z-1621813-8 cheap?
If you used a credit card give them a call and ask about a chargeback.
Were still here ... didnt get blown away... although the yard looks like the trees had a battle royal... tree branches and leaves all over the place... deck chairs took a walk off the deck.. even had one of the porch lights get knocked down... other than that were still here... just got power back after it was out for the last 13 hrs...
cleaned up the yard today... wasnt as bad as it looked for most the yard... however the last acre was a mess... had braches all over the place... some of them had to have come down during the worst of it because they re-planted themselves in the ground... few of them were good 3-5" into the ground.. but it wasnt the large ones that did that it was all the small ones... kind youd think would just bounce on the ground 1/4-1/2" diameter branches and they were a pretty good distance away from the tree line too.. the larger ones that were 3" diameter were pretty close to the trees they came off of.. they just laid flat on the ground... but were broken in 2-3 pieces... gotta watch though when working near the tree line for awhile... still a few widow makers sitting up there.. partially broken branches i cant reach....
That was some wind, trees dropping across the roads, took me forever to get home yesterday, had to use roads i never use.
Power is out all over our county, genetators are a wonderful thing.
yeah was surprised how strong the winds were for a TS by time it got here... i dont even remember seeing the winds like that for cat 2's when i lived in VB.. here it was making my bedroom windows creek and the rain was beating on them like taking a drive through a car wash..
By the time it got to my area in NJ it was mild wind and heavy rain. Our daughter is dealing with it now in Boston.
Agreed the smaller branches like to arrow themselves into the soil.
i didnt expect cat 2/3 force winds from something that was just a tropical storm by time it got to us... they were calling for 5" for our area before it got here... dunno what we actually got... need to get a rain gauge for the property... looking off the covered front porch you couldnt see past the end of the over hang and sometimes less than that when the wind picked up it was raining so hard... definitely wouldnt want to try and drive in that, wouldnt be able to see anything..
Some scrap unidentified parts. The part on the left almost looks like some kind of mount but I don't know The middle piece is obviously a distributor of some sort but I've never seen one like it Another angle....the part on the right looks like some exhaust piece Then I was looking at this rotor wondering why it has a slot in it.
This isn't anything I need help with just having some fun and a little curiousity
