Welded up

Short strand fiberglass filler is strong and waterproof. I'll use Rage over top of it.

Wait until you see what I'm going to do with the rockers. I don't know if it's the right thing, but I'm going to try it. It's to rusty to fix with all new rockers, but I want it to be solid for quite a few years. This will be our main vehicle for a year or two and then be an off roading, and and winter vehicle for us.

Sprayed the sealer and had to fix a couple imperfections.

The bumper got sprayed with epoxy, then a couple coats of sealer.

Here the black base coat has been sprayed.

I was ready to take them home after spraying the base coat. They looked really good. Scott explained what to do, and watched me spray. They wouldn't look this good without his help.

It's amazing the difference from spraying in my neighbor's garage to spraying in the awesome lighted booth.

I got started on the rear springs last night. I want to clean the frame and apply Platinum Rust Encapsulator so it can dry while I work on the rocker panels.

2nd coat of clear! Well crap, I either need to get the buffer out or start sanding the rest of the Excursion. LOL

I did have a slight run in one spot. Where the reflection has the kink in it on the right side. The said that's normal and a little sanding and buffing will fix it. There's a few pieces of lint and dirt to fix also.

Thank you! They turned out awesome. It's sure going to require some buffing to get the rest to shine anywhere near the fresh painted stuff.

WOW! Looks great, I think you are going to be spraying the rest of the wagon when you are finished.

I could watch (and listen to) Fitzee's videos all day, he gets jobs done with minimal tools and gets great looking results. I've learned a technique or dozen from him so far.

He doesn't wear a freaking welding helmet!! Sheesh!! I wonder if he's closing his eyes, but can't quite tell.

I can't stop watching his patch panel videos now....

Thank you! I want to spray the rest so badly, but it's to rusty underneath to spend the time and money. But I want to paint the rest anyway, LOL.

Thanks for sharing the video. It's hard to find good quality body work how to's. I watched half and subscribed and saved it to watch the rest later. Awesome how he cuts it at an angle so it fits tight!
