Happy Bday Gary. I have a trinket for you, but have not been able to get to the post office of late. I'll probably ship it when I ship Shaun his Ford blue valve covers.
Looking good, Gary! Happy birthday! Couldn't ask for a better gift than all that stuff other than spending time with the fam. Hope you have a great day tomorrow.
Well, the birthday got even better. First, our son and DiL called and let us FaceTime with our new granddaughter.
And on top of that, Kyle/first today sent me a text message from a salvage and asked if I want the things in these pics, and I said YES! Thanks, Kyle!!!
Nice score on the sag pump/bracket. A good cleaning, and it should fit nicely.
BTW, I am also converting to a sag PS pump, since that's what is already mounted on the new engine.......
As such, let me know what you have to do for a pressure hose, seeing as that one has been turned into a leaker.......
Have any of you seen an a/c compressor like that? I have always seen the big square ones on the 78/79 model engines.
Rogue, the one that is in the picture on the motor is still there. That one has three lines to the pump because the lincoln has hydroboost. If you need it let me know. The lines are cut on it also.
The 78 grand marquis engine had the whole top end torn down and the pump was just laying there for the taking. Its pump (now Gary's) has two lines since it was power boosted.
RW - I'm probably going to follow in Luke's steps and make my hose, as described in this post. And, I may rebuild it as Luke did - after I PC the housing.
Or, I could go into O'Reilly's and order a hose for an E with a 400 as it would have the Sag pump.
Kyle - Thanks again. If my day hadn't already been made that would have made it. As it is, that was the icing on the cake.
