That might not be bad my thoughs are i may pull my custom f250 badges and paint them because they are polished billet and they have corrosion marks that are a PITA to get out and that was after two winters so if i painted them black with charcoal fill like my emblem then i feel like the only Chrome is my headlights and grille at that point so theres nothibg ekse tieing it together because dknt forget both bunpers will be black.
Nice! Iys sk easy to pull the 05 ligjts apart took me 10 min for the first one...thwreteofit didnt go well though i endwd up having it done professionally instead.
Ya they popped right open. My only decision now is which truck gets them! Lol the excursion is all blacked out except rims and light. The truck is starting to go black and white but still has lights and bumpers to go!
I think painting the rim of the grill to match, but leaving the center billet would look pretty good. I also really like black chrome. It looks bad ***!
As for the aluminum, POR makes a clear coat for aluminum called Glisten. I'd smooth the aluminum parts up with 1000, 2000, and then 3000 grit sand paper and then really work it with a mild abbrasive polish like Simichrome. Then give this stuff a try. It's on my to do list to test it out.

I think I am going to go with like Shaun did on his truck and get the shell PTM in charcoal gray with the center billet and outer honey comb black still. I think it will make it meaner looking. Also I picked up my Expedition console out of a 2015 model that was converted to a police chiefs vehicle so its in perfect shap minus a few scratches on the shifter area which I am painting anyway.
Oh also my fiancé is getting me a GoPro for my birthday this Thursday she told me to see if I would actually use it because everyone kept telling her not to get it but once I get it I am going to try and do one of those time lapse things while I work on the truck lol.
I keep updating this with info I have found in the past week lol I will not be doing the BDs dual shock kit, the shocks actually mount behind the front tank mounts so that would have the bar going across the tank I will just make a cross member like Jeremy suggested earlier.
I haven't seen the 15 expedition in person is it the same as the older style console?
Trav
It's identical except the rear part does not have radio controls it has a power point and climate controls instead. The dash is also the same except for the cluster and steering wheel which is the same as the F150's now.
Yeah I have not seen any new models of anything around yet, except 1 new 15 F150 I saw it drive by and wanted to turn around lol.
I just had an awesome idea to solve my fuse panel dilemma! I am going to use the glovebox as a fuse panel holder! It requires the least amount of modifications to the dash and allows me to place that fuse panel, my GPS Box, Rear/front camera box and aux fuse panel in it in a nicely displayed panel as well as giving me space under the column to mount the EDGE sensor inputs and trailer brakes! I will just need to extend each wire about 3 feet which is a no brainer! I stopped using my glovebox after I got my 08 console because of the size of it and my glovebox basically became my console since it was bigger and I cant reach in there while driving. The expedition console is just as big and since I don't have a GPS in there any more I never use more than half of the 08 consoles storage space why didn't I think of this before!? lol
