Lol the after work bar I like that, my air hammer and cradles will be in tomorrow and the bags will be in Monday-Tuesday they shipped after everything else works out though I can get everything removed this Sunday when I have free time and then mock up the bags during the week.
The info isn't useless it usually sparks several good idea's or makes me spend money which drives updates...in reality all this off topic chatter just allows me to keep on adding things to my list lol. Perfect example ATV's = Diamondback cover = ATV beer cooler = a good time = empty bank account lol.
Tax return is coming in soon maybe a bumper is in the future not sure if I want to get it now though since I will be pulling the motor in the coming months. Maybe once the 5.4l is out then I will get it that way I can just pull the bumper once lol. I am really trying to focus on one project at a time though I want to get the back done then the interior and then the front.
It's going to have a winch, I want to go electric so I was thinking a Warn, 12,000 pound winch I did warns calculated GVWR * 1.5% so it came to like 11ish if I remember right and I figured go higher not lower so I ended up at 12k but they are pricey as hell from warn. I want a good quality one so I am still shopping around if anybody has any input on any other brands.
Currently looking at this and the price went up $200 on amazon since I found it a few weeks ago lol.
If you aren't going to be using it a lot I would suggest maybe a cheaper brand. Warn is in my opinion the best so if you use them a lot then ya get it but if it is just once in a while maybe look into rugged ridge (I believe that is the name) or smittybilt.
Trav
Ya actually a lot of harbor freights tools and equipment are great.
Dad use to have a harbor freight impact gun and air chisel set that he said was his best impact yet. He is hoping to get some paint guns from them soon.
Trav
Lol I was thinking about that Trav that's why I was trying to find a cheaper one. I will use it on occasion but in reality I am not an off-road enthusiast who gets stuck all the time so I just was a cheap reliable one is all. How do I know what size to get though? Didn't even notice the badlands one was linked thanks!
Edit: hole cow only $292!? Guess what I'm getting lol
Don't go too small to save a $20 bucks... if you get the 12k you'll always have everything you need. Do you NEED 12k? Probably not. But it's nice to have if you ever do. And with Harbor Freight winches, we're not talking much money. I've had one for about 5 years and the thing has worked flawlessly. I don't use it every day, but when I do, I work it.
