I hate salt, I just ordered an air hammer, airlift 5000 ultimate airbags and some day star airbag cradles fyi lol.
The cradles are made so that the bottom airbag mount does not bolt to the spring but rather sit on top so that when the suspension is under flex the bags will not stretch and potentially rupture. I am hoping to have the old hangers removed by next weekend and the new ones temporarily mounted to eventually be removed for frame painting.
What kind of air hammer did you get? Did you get a compressor for the air bags?
That's why I under coated everything with bar and chain oil this year. I was putting a pitman arm on my Ranger the other day and wipe a spot off of my coil spring. It looks brand new underneath. The road salt, dirt, and grime were all stuck to the protective oil film. I will be doing this every year for a long time. I'll probably power wash everything in the spring and re-coat it all in the fall.
Hey wizkid, how did you apply that bar and chain oil?

Lol no compressor yet i will wait until the bed is back on for that. I got a Dewalt one it came with a 4 piece chisel and punch set for $40 and free two day shipping so i couldn't pass that up lol. Had a lot of good reviews as well.

I used a $15 schutz gun from Monstaliner. Worked like a charm. Ran it at about 50 psi off my compressor. The oil sprayed fine in September. WHen I applied it in November, I actually set the bottle in warm water to thin the oil a bit. Worked like a charm. Note that it does not spray like a paint gun, it spatters out of the gun like bed liner. Then you let it sit and the excess will drip off. It turns out to be very cheap insurance.
That stuff all looks great Matt. I actually didn't know DeWalt made an air chisel, but good choice. Did you finally use all those Amazon gift cards you didn't know you had earned?
Since I don't have an air chisel of my very own, I will show you a picture of my $100 compressor
Only thing that sucks is no place to park (under a cover) and no power out here (only solar).

No power? You really do live in the backwoods. Even the camps we go into the mountains too all have electricity. I am guessing no air conditioning in the lovely Arizona summer?

Nope just generator and solar. LOL We are pure backwood rednecks. LOL
Air conditioning? what is that? We have swamp coolers if you have money for gas in the generator or you fire up the air compressor and spray air on yourself.
I only have AC in my explorer, the envoy, and the 10 otherwise I only have a heater.
Actually it only gets to 105 at the most and that is on a really hot day usually only 90s. Before this I would be in 120s. LOL
Is your compressor a 5hp? My neighbor has one rated at that and they look similar sized.
I know you said it before on ranger station I believe but can't remember plus I haven't been their in a long time.
