If you are talking about the head alignment dowels (pins), they are the same as a 4.6 eng. We had to get new ones at the local Ford dealer when we built my sons' 6.9.

Yes that is what I was talking about, but since I have studs I can see where they would help align the gaskets. I will have to call Ford Monday, thanks cause I did not know where I was going to find those!
Got the heads on and torqued to 95ft-lbs. One question I have is dealing with the cork gasket that felpro includes with it's conversion kit. It did not come factory with the cork oil pan gasket, so has anyone used it?
I have one on mine. Doesnt leak if you keep the bolts tight, but they are always working loose, about every 6 months they are only finger tight... same goes for the valve covers.
The factory used only silicone RTV, So that's how I did it. Make sure to clean it good and test fit the pan so you can see where it lands on the engine...Draw with a sharpie around the pan then remove it and seal the hell out of it, let it set 10 min or so then install the pan and torque to spec.
I think I am going to do both, layer on both sides of the gasket, there is no way it can leak then, I have a hard time telling how much is too much of the silicone, and with everything so far I have done that to make sure everything seals as best as it can, I know the silicone can't hurt so why not? I can't have a seeping diesel on the new shop floor!

95 should do it, but Id go at least to 100.... if you can get 110 out of them with ARP lube, do it....
