I'll try to get pictures tonight, but I got my tranny in, coukdnt find a yoke. Finally got something around to work and driveline was done. Then I also started my turbo setup while it was apart, and got all of that taken care of, all I need still is my intake welded and intercooler pipe finished on the drivers side. So I won't really be able to see how it drives turboed even with the turbo on. It's disappointing but there's not much I can do because I can't weld aluminum. None the less I'm happy to have it together and had fun driving with the six speed this morning.
I am getting my zf Wednesday or Thursday. Ended up finding one 8 hours away near St Louis, but it just so happens that my uncle lives 15 minutes from there and is coming up for thanksgiving! So it all worked out and he is leaving illinois Wednesday morning.
That being said I want the transmission in before I start on building my turbo kit, because the drivers side manifold is crossing over the transmission bellhouse. I would go in front of the motor but I just don't see how Racin crammed it up there! And I don't see why the way I'm doing it won't work. I think all I need to order is some 3" mild steel bends, boots, a t4 flange and clamps! I can't wait to hear her whistle for the first time ever!
That was NMB2 who did it like that. He had to move the engine 2" forward, and pound the hell out of the firewall. That was using 1.5" schd40 pipe though. If You run stainless 1.75" right above the adaptor plate and hug the head as tight as you can, under the acc. bosses, it looks like it would work fine, I havent had a chance to mock anything up yet. Im looking at doing turbo kits like that in the future.

Take a video of it too when you can! Truck **** is always good!!!
Well sorry it took so long, I'm having severe wiring issues. The marking lights won't come on besides in between the parking and headlight positions on the switch, at the same time the radio shuts off. I'm at a loss and am picking up a new switch as soon as stuff opens up tomorrow.
This is the passenger side
This is the drivers side, if I do it again I am going to just use the stock drivers manifold as it will probably flow better, we will see how these work.
And this is how the turbo sits in the bay. It's actually a pretty nice fit, a little cutting to my wheel well let me fit in a 4" downpipe, which sounds very nice. I have yet go get an intake, so I'm not boosting yet.
So far all is well, my crossover I had made by the local muffler shop. It seems to be about 3' long, but I am not concerned because everything is coming back apart to get wrapped and painted. I am headed to Greyling, Michigan to go snowmobiling for a week the 29th, so that will be the first real roadtrip. Hopefully I can get an intake before then.
My 2 inch sch40 up pipes fit on my engine with only alittle bit of firewall massaging, they just have to hug the engine as tight as possible. Looking good arps, must be a pain building a turbo kit in truck.
I'm having a guy I know weld me up one with a 3" 90 on it, it's just taking him forever (6 months so far) and so for the trip I'm going to just run a hat.
I have the stock on off of my truck, then one off of my parts block. Does anyone have pictures of how they hooked up to the hat? My 3" intercooler piping is not quite lining up, I'm thinking I couple to the od of the hat??? For now I will run a rdt, which will be made out of....leftover pex tubing from the shop haha, hopefully tomorrow I can run with some boost for the first time!
I built mine...It took some modifying to the inside edge of my hat to clear the screen on the manifold....I could of run without it but I wanted it so I had to cut a grove inside the edge to clear it but here's some pics...http://www.flickr.com/photos/racer30/10662050234/
I borrowed a stocker, it just hooks up strange, the od is probably 2.75, so I hope the clamp will seal, if not I will just have to wait until my intake is done I guess.
