Not to get you guys off topic or anything, LOL....
Here are a couple of screenshots from my AE session tonight.
The first is a "cold" engine. I grabbed ambient (MAT) as a reference.
What do you think of my MAP and EBP being .6 PSI different? It's been recommended to clean my EBP sensor and tube. It's on my to-do list
This next is a log of starting. It "feels" like it takes a longer time to start (compared to gasser). Note the low voltage I've highlighted.
I have been leaving my BT ODBII adapter connected overnight, but might stop that. I plan tomorrow night to disconnect both batteries, let them sit overnight, then use my DVM to take a reading to make sure they are both holding a charge on their own and balanced.
Then I'll look at parasitic draws.
I have been getting a GP#3 failure code, and occasionally a Cylinder #3 error. I decided to replace both UVCH, to coincide with the turbo wheel and HPx and FRx installs next week.
I don't think that is a source of drain, but guess it depends on the problem
I also did a buzz test, but need to work out how to reduce the size of the video file before uploading.
Well , going off that info it seems that your MAP sensor is the one that is off from the other 2. They are a bit pricey, so to be sure I would compare all 3 sensors on a cold engine (KOEO) .
Also, using AE, check the actual voltage reading for the MAP. With all the quirks of the new versions I feel better looking at the voltage than trusting version 13.crap
....... My Ex will step up idle until she is warmed up or I step on the brake pedal. I thought they were all this way? .....................
That's fine, mine did that as well when until the engine oil temp reached 80 degrees, then another step after 125 or so. The Ex's have a lot of extras that can really bog down the alternator. Especially after a long glow plug draw on a cold morning. The higher the idle the better IMO for the stock alternator.
My EBP sensor is almost 3 off and I need to replace it, but cleaning everything gained me a bunch even with a bad sensor, My MPG went from 10 to almost 14, and my throttle response improved immensely..Enough to prove the point for me!
