I have never updated my AE yet. It is still used on what ever it came with, I got used to how it works (bugs and all) and haven't wanted to update yet because I hear it doesn't get better yet.

Looking at my disc it says (PC version 12.0.)

What is "Giotto"?

Giotto is v 13.x and higher. You may want to stick with 12.x for now.

Giotto has some fixes. Last year I got Jay to add MAT and the missing left front wheel sensor. He combined those fixes with some others, he returned from Italy and Giotto was borne. It appears in email he has made more fixes.
So some fixes, added missing items and is a little quicker to navigate, oh and is PC based tablet touch screen compatible.

Just got mine updated, online says it's 13.3, I just got 13.2.4 not sure the discrepancy, but it's now Win 8.1-10 compatible. They also fixed the Baro psi issue, and some other 7.3 stuff in decoding the Vin, etc. Still no save sessions, I think it's a dead duck. But it seems pretty stable......Still playing.

If I do the 13.3 update I could always uninstall and reload from my disc if I didn't like it yes?

Oh Yeah, I've got copies of all versions from 13 on up. I burned them all onto a disc. Just an FYI, They encode your update with your Dongle Serial # so you should be able to jump back and forth all you want. Make sure you keep copies of your software and your keys for each in a file you won't lose. That's why I burn the whole enchilada onto a disk. I'm a Senile Software Collector....

You know what, I just sent a inquiry about the difference in the version they just sent me and the v13.3 they state on their website. I will report back as soon as they reply. It's the weekend so it might be a couple days.......

Cool deal. Maybe I will try this 13.3 just to see if it fixes some of the things that annoy me. I like the save session deal but could get by without it if a few other things work like connecting. lol

Will Do, I don't think there are any Hardware changes involved, they don't use a security dongle anymore, It's built into the newer model, and it's still USB hookup to the adaptor

So my reply was I am only able to upgrade to 3.11 (free) because I am in some 2001-2012 bracket or something.

To get 3.3 I'd have to pay more money. lol
