I'm having some of the issues mentioned here. replaced MLPS, TPS, transmission solenoid harness, and now I have 1-2 is fine, but 2-3 and 3-4 doesn't work at all. When I had replaced the harness everything started working again, that was a month ago. I have codes 536, 617, 618 and 628. I'm wondering if my soleniod pack is bad. I occasionally can get it to shift from 2 - 3 by going WOT (wide open throttle) then it will shift and go to overdrive normally. This started out where when cold it would shift perfect then when warmed up to full operating temperature it would start shifting late. Now 2 - 3 is more 2 - neutral. I would also like a copy of the infamous zip file pretty please. Raymonkey77 at gmail.com
I welcome any suggestions. This trans was rebuilt about 17,000 miles ago. replaced fluid and filter. Shuts down at 70 mph and kicks back on at 65. I think the trans temp sensor is out.
It is still under warranty, but the company that did the rebuild is no longer in business. I had changed the fluid because I could hear the fluid boiling. This was because the torque converter failed to go into lockdown thanks to a corroded solenoid pigtail. I'm thinking because of the extreme heat that the TOT is now out. I've had back surgery twice now so getting under the truck to test the TOT with an VOM is not the easiest thing in the world to do. I'm hoping that I can replace the fluid, filter, and solenoid pack and be back to operating normally again. I'm looking for any suggestions anyone might have.
