Hi All,
I should have done this a long time ago, but I don't follow this thread anymore, and really don't come to FTE often as I don't drive my old Ford as much as I used to. At any rate, the zip file is very outdated material these days, and I would HIGHLY suggest you getting the latest ASTG Rebuild Manual and ASTG Update Manual if you wish to rebuild the E4OD yourself. They will have the diagnostics, testing procedures, updated part numbers, specialized tool list, rebuild procedures, and more. You can get the manuals on Ebay, or Internet Transmission Part sites.

Geoff,
If you'd like, I will send you the zip file I sent to Bozon on May 16th regarding rebuild tips for the E4OD. You will have to unzip it using Winzip or the like. You could browse it and see if a rebuild is something you want to tackle.
I just got wind of a site (via this forum) called:
Hahaha, my last post here was on line 346 back in 2011 (8 years ago). After all this time I finally found my login information. I still have the same truck (plus a newer truck) and I did fix the transmission.
