$2.08 gas and you only drove right down the street???????????? Nice view from the truck.
It's come down to $2.44 around here. I'm starting the daily driver up in the morning to warm up at these prices. When it was $4.11 back about 9 years ago I'd suffer with a cold steering wheel, frost and ice on the window and not go anywhere on a whim.

I drove about 20 miles, most of it at 55 mph too. The sun was just right when I got near home to capture the vista. It's about 25 miles to the foothills, tells you how clear it is today.
Sorry, oneye, it's National Forest, no prospecting allowed!
Someone really needs to replace our legislature. With the highest gas tax in the nation (or maybe we're next to highest) Regular is down now I saw today to $3.09. Premium and Diesel is about the same, both running around $3.59. Sometimes it really gets to me, then I'm reminded by our northern neighbors, like Tom here, that it's only about .82c/litre. Sorry Tom.

PA has the highest gas taxes. Our guv says the new taxes are to raise money for our roads and bridges of which we have many miles of. I haven't seen an improvement yet.
Our gas prices are going down. They were up into the mid $3 range. My son says gas is $2.69 per gallon today.
Edit: after reading 52 Mercs post maybe PA doesn't have the highest gas taxes in the US.....
What I can't figure is that normally all the stations are in lockstep on pricing (with a 5c or 10c adder for Tier 1 stations). Within a mile of the place I filled there are three stations still in the $2.35 - 2.39 range. The reservation gas stations are low, but so are many non-rez. It helps us that the gas sold here mostly comes out of the ground here, and is refined here (3 refineries within 150 miles of ABQ). The flip side is that the state gets much of its revenue from oil & gas, so they'll probably be jacking up other taxes.
